civics engine bay design is not very air ventilation friendly its very tight due to which less area for hot air to ventilate outwards making the engine hotter and raising the engine bay temp.. even in civicx the fan turns on more frequently as compared to a grande both have 1.8 engines ..while for turbo engines it is agreed that they produce more heat however the engine bays tight less area for heat to vent out increases the overall temps making the engine cooling fan run more frequently even in shorter trips.. you can compare with another turbo engine car like mg hs or Peugeot and see if you feel the same phenomenon in that as well if not then this is the main reason as to why the engine is operating hotter in your civic.

Civic's engine bay is not compromised in terms of space by any means. Open the bonnet of 11th Gen or even 10th Gen and you will see tons of space. Civic 8th Gen is a car that had a tight space.

Thanks a lot. Also, in your opinion should i get the oil changed from honda or get liqui moly instead?

If you do not want/value your car's warranty AND have extra cash that you want to part ways with then go ahead with Liqui Moly. There is practically nothing that you are losing by going with 3S provided GF6 0W-20. I would rate it over and above Liqui Moly that's available in the market.

The oem is excellent. no need to waste money on Amsoil.

Car is 2022 model Oriel civic 11th generation and at high speeds like over 60 steering feels like stiff and kind of locked . I have to apply slight force and it feels like there is lock points in steering. Is it steering rack issue??? Car is 43k driven. Not maintained from Honda. If it is steering rack then can I get it replaced in warranty? I just bought it and very worried. Need your kind suggestions and help please.

But keeping in view that its manufacturing fault of honda. Shouldn't they replace it anyway?
Or can I send them legal notice regarding this?
And keeping in view my issue, do you think its notorious steering rack issue?

That's what the warranty is for. To fix manufacturing faults free of charge. Your legal notice won't change anything since you never followed their terms and conditions. You can still ask them though.

Steering rack issue can be felt even when the car is not moving. If you move the steering very slowly and the movements are jerky, then it's the steering rack issue.

as long as you have the warranty booklet you can put a quality claim. even they are calming 2016 model under quality.

Only recalls are eligible for free of cost repairs/ replacements irrespective of how the car was maintained. Since a recall was never issued for the steering rack here this does not apply. Otherwise a warranty history is usually required. A service center maybe willing to overlook depending on how good a customer you are/ were. Considering you never maintained a relationship with the showroom after you bought the car, it all comes down to how good your personal relationship with the service center is.

Very common issue in this gen , Yes steering rack gets replaced , mine got replaced free of cost in warranty (22 oriel) for this exact issue.

So about 2 months ago I had launched a complaint with my 3s dealership that my cars steering when on motorway or highway would move with a slight jerk when steering was moved aka when your driving in a lane on motorway for a while and moved the steering to keep car in lane on a bend it would have a little mini jerk instead of moving smoothly. For cars that already have had the rack replaced and if the problem occurs again, they’re now just replacing a small spring (measures hardly half an inch) located somewhere near the tire rod of the passenger side wheel.

I had the full rack replaced twice on my Civic X.

I went to honda dealership and they drove it, made videos and pics of chassis to sent to Honda and issued me claim number. Do you think I will get replacement free of cost now??? Warranty was expired in June and not maintained from Honda dealership.

yes you will get it under quality claim despite warranty period is void
