Oshan is eating old gen turbo here, so the new one is definitely not a match.
Funny how a vehicle of that size is doing it.
Specially a Chinese engine.
While honda here is detuning engines and claiming 176hp, and people saying its slow due to the weight.
I haven't honestly not seen a single positive review of this vehicle, talked to a few guys who bought oriels and they say it's very laggy and underperforms.
The rs well just has a badge of rs other than that it's a just a sec or half quicker.
Idk what honda is doing honestly. My civic x 1.8 pretty much has the same performance.

Seeing all the reviews and talking to people outside of pakwheels tells the real story.
You pay 70 lack to get the wow factor which last gen had and you get bamboozled.

Most negative reviews are due to mental pain price gave to most buyers. I have driven Oshan since i m in a circle of friends where cars are there. Real world experience is very different. Honda has detuned substantially and it was done to ensure all kinds of local fuel remains compatible. Oshan is not faster than that and reviews are deliberately made but badly failing in making any impact we are in an age where anything can be shown easily.

On rolling 11th is faster but 10th is definitely more responsive at launch and that’s everywhere in the world. Overall dynamics are substantially improved in new civic and comfort is very improved as well. Oshan is a very good product but reliability will be proven with time. Sedan has its handling perks as well. Every reviewer had his own 0-100 times while real world scenario is very different. Onky draggy times can be trusted nothing else

Bhai have a test drive if someone is offering for RS. The last thing one can do is to trust the reviews from xyz reviewers. Baqi everyone has his say, and thinking. Market is open and people can buy the best value they believe. Civic has its sales and everyone else is trying to catch up and eventually end up becoming source of selling one more civic. Price aside, its the best option right now other than Chinese which is not a cup of tea for many people

see, the honda 11th have pushed us to the debate on ECU remaping. Its becuase the car doesnt have goodies or power. Thats how "mediocre" the Honda Atlas Civic Story is. I was always against the Oriel because you cant out-scince your friends everytime a honda performance discussion start to happen or a new video of elantra 2.0 comes (smoking civic oriel).

Furthermore,

1. Yes Oshan is way ahead of civic in any parameter selected (Power, features, cabin space, looks).
2. ECU tune can be done on almost annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny vehicle so it should not be presented as a special character of new civic.
3. Yet to see a reliable 0-100 of stock civic RS.
4. Some RS guys must have a run with OshanX7 or MG and share with us how good their premium product really is.

No offence but our market has thankfully moved on and civic-sedan has lost its positioning from wow-factor to a sedan-next-door or a new corolla for that matter.Everythign is not measured by delivery dates. If it was that good, why is Honda Atlas is now immediately launching a VEZEL.

Why doesn't Oshan dominate Civic globally then? Since you make it look like a no brainer to choose Oshan over a Civic then, we all should perhaps expect 5x Oshans for every Civic sold on roads on PK by the end of the year? Seems fair. No?

Above all, based on your listed criteria (of Power, features, cabin space, looks), Oshan also comprehensively beats Tucson too.

Ecu tune is limited to very few engine. Mostly are honda ones

Ktuner and engine tunes are mostly used in us and Thailand. Atlas doesn’t operate there.

Ktuner is not a local product either. 11th worldwide is slower than 10th and we all knew even before launch. May be after 2 yeArs and even before that changan will be opened on most workshops so ideal world doesn’t exist. Engine remapping is an fanboy thing and is done everywhere regardless of stock power. With your logic no one should be upgrading a 350z or much better cars than cheap civic. This is the beauty of Honda engine offering these things..
I know people begging maxpower to do something with sonata as it drives so bad on that 6 speed

Tuscon is not even in the debate bhai.. Chinese products are not worth spending money on. Honda sells integra in china home of changaan hahahahaahahahah thats tells u all. People blame the product thats worthy of discussion.. simple.

Tuscon even with a 2.0l engine is much better than any Chinese supercharged Product

For civic acceleration, i m happily available to meet in Lahore and anything else can be brought to compare. It drives better than anything else available locally at least

because Oshan X7 is 2 months old in Pakistan. The disruption is real and very fast. In next 2 years it will beat all competitors in its league. BYD and Changan are proven platforms. They have done it in China and many other countries.

I am not talking about Pakistan. I am talking about countries where Oshan and for that matter Haval, Cherry, MG, etc are relatively much better established and available for much longer, have they outsold Corolla, Civic, Elantra and the usual sedans? Or even Japanese Crossovers in those countries?

saying that the oshan outdoes the turbo in terms of acceleration doesn't mean it's better, these two are different league vehicles. My point was that if changan could do it with such a big body why could honda not. I mean you're calling it a rs and it's basically just like a 1.8 oriel when stock. That is the point, weather people wanna believe it or not, the RS stock is a slap on the face of RS anyday. They could have optimized it better.
Point is you're spending 8 9 lack extra on a vehicle for what? except for a gimmick sensing, nothing really special.

i would, i might as well book one for myself as well pretty soon, but what hurts me is to pay this much and then god knows how much more i would have to pay to give it the wow factor.
It's not in a ready state i feel like.
I already have a sportage so oshan doesn't make sense to me, but changan launches X5 then i might move to that, but as off now, i wanted a sedan to replace my x 1.8 and since toyota is showing no signs of launching the new gen, civic is the only option.
you could post a video of it's acceleration would help a lot.
