So for those who booked civic X in Dec/Jan and their bookings were automatically changed to Civic XI, they shall get the car (Oriel) in April? Is this confirmed?

but the question is that if some one paid on 24th January, and later he converted to some other variant (because variant was not offered at that day)

will Honda ATLAS accommodate him for paying in advance in term of early delivery?

This is what i was wondering.
And if people shift from oriel to other variants then theoretically earlier dates for oriel should open up.

Also how are people switching variants at this point without knowing specs? Isnt it better to stick with oriel for now as at least the dates are much earlier for pre-bookers.

exactly, that makes a lot of sense.
but at the same time, there are some other questions.

How many totally assembly capacity they have per month
how many units Honda Thailand can supply to Honda ATLAS per month
How long is the back order/processing time?

how will ATLAS distribute their assembly line for production for all these three variants. (keep in mind, they also assemble BRV, City as well.

and last question How important is it for Honda ATLAS to be ethical, fair and transparent for vehicle delivery time frame.

Honestly at this point given the lack of solid information regarding variants, i think a better strategy is to stick with oriel booking and try to get delivery as early as possible.

Even if later on the differences seem compelling enough for a upgrade the oriel should not be very difficult to sell beacuse of initial hype/ own etc. Plus price hikes are always a real threat too.

I have heard that all three variants will have Honda sensing.

if thats the case, then, there is no attraction in RS.
ORIEL is the best bet because it has sunroof.

If sensing is standard and there is no significant difference in hp then at least i dont see any reason to shift.

in malaysia and thailand it is actually standard on all three variants so keeping that in mind, it makes sense at the same time. baki tu pata chalay ga.

but one thing is for sure, ke if its standard in all three variants, then RS ki jo bookings ho gayi woh ho gayi... aagay nahi honi

sensing should be standard. you think atlas will do the R&D of removing a standard feature?? its not just the cameras and lidar, its the ECU connectivity as well. like what cruise will you give if you remove sensing from oriel?? the old computer in oriel while the new computer in RS?? not possible. they rather put the burden of price on user (sensing is just 1000-1500 $).

Ideally they should, if you have booking number and received an sms from Honda atlas with the delivery date April. Some time due to production delay we witnessed one month difference but normally they follow what they commit officially.

Tbh if they offer sensing as standard, great. But even if they dont at least i dont care too much for it.
I do care if there is a significant difference in hp, but as discussed in this thread earlier that cant happen just with a gearbox. Unless they detune the engine on the oriel or some other cra* like that..

there are 2 ways you can reduce the effective power of the engine.

1. ECU detune.
2. gear ratios for acceleration change (no change in total output power)
3. mechanically ( i doubt they will do it)

if they detune it on ECU level, sooner of later people will reset the ECU configurations. yes, CVT acceleration will remain a problem.

Oriel is not a base variant...

sensing is standard and not at additional cost in outside world. It used to be at additional cost on Civic X and that too only just first two year of production in North American market . Later it became standard feature and currently standard on all models in Honda portfolio in NA.
