People are feeling the heat of increase in fuel prices and leaning towards hybrids, but unfortunately only abused JDMs are available due to restrictions in imports.

Fuel costs influence decisions of people going for small hatchbacks or entry level sedans however in case of C segment sedans or crossovers, I don’t think people really worry about fuel costs or efficiency.

I mean, 8-10K MGs have been sold which is only to be run on high octane and also isn’t really fuel efficient, you have the answer to your question.

Its slower then grande and may even get smoked by city 1.5 .. it may have better initial pick from civicx oriel but both grande/civicx will smoke it on the top end easy... Hp isnt a joke or else a mehran would be faster then a m5 .. Internationally civicxi si even with more 180 hp the reviewers have noted that its a little slower from civicx si eventhough honda claims to have improved the engine .. now lets come to our local civic xi lite version which either has a detuned 127 hp engine and second is exactly same as previous civicx turbo making 176hp and 220nm torque so new rs will be little slow from civicx rs for sure while oriel may have better initial pick due to more low end torque but top end will be way slower then previous civicx.... grande will give tough time from standstill and will eventually leave it behind.

It is definitely having an impact on our market as well. Even though imported cars are really expensive now but still one can easily spot so many fresh imported Honda Vezel, Nissan Note E power, Toyota Aqua, Toyota Vitz and Toyota Passo. Out of all of these, Nissan Note e power is making market really quickly (its a perfect daily driver).

On the local side, Suzuki Alto is selling like crazy with so much premium and bookings closed.

So indeed fuel is a major concern and no matter how much taxes GOP imposes JDMs are not going anywhere.

The reality is happening no sane person spends this much on a zero value to money car .. dealers have booked it and now are regretting.. majority of bookings are occopied by dealers to sell on own .. same case was with city but in this funny case they will regret spending 53 lac

None. I wouldn't ever consider Oriel anyway and as for RS I don't see it as a significant upgrade. My current Civic is way quicker than the new RS and I honestly don't have the time and energy to spend on mods again. With the current prices and dollar rate I'd have to spend double the amount to bring the RS closer to the output of my 10th gen turbo.

I'm thinking of going for the Haval 2.0T CKD when it is launched. Don't ask me why please cuz then I'll have to write a long essay and bore everyone to death.

Sir they refuse generally but i paid as i said i m leaving for abroad for 4 months and may not be able to handle payment at that time. I got saved 2 times in past with full payment. Not sure if we are lucky enough this time

Its common trick to disrupt market but its now old. 6 million is easy for now if one has oriel and selling it in real. Oriel will be more soon so own will reduce but RS will hold extremely high premium for 2-3 months then stabilize like
3-4 on oriel
5-6 on RS for next 5 years
