few confirmed shahskas in 2.0 sonata missing in Rs.

1. D segment road presence.
2. Great interior and roomy interior.

Looks are subjective so i cannot comment. Yes, its Segment D, missing ADAS a big thing in itself. The major issue no one is buying 2.0 and in fact they face problem in selling 2.0 variant is the engine which is much underpowered for a segment D body. Personally i don't like Sonata Rear but front is very nice. Surprisingly, Sonata buyers choose between civic and also compare with civic. Civic buyers always says Sonata is a better car in 2.5L variant. Anyways, market us open and 2 months delivery time is decent as well for Sonata 2.5 now. 2.0 may get discontinued anytime, i guess as sales are pretty low.

There is nothing logical in civic pricing as well, so our auto sector is more of a joke overall.

I m loving the fact that not a single person posted in Sonata thread from Civic thread (buyers), this happens when you understand segments and don't have any insecurity

Someone brought crossovers, and now sonata in comparison. this alone is interesting , isn't it.....

2months delivery time is decent as well for Sonata 2.5

Have you confirmed it for new bookings? Because cars booked in November have still not been delivered. Even the ones booked through banks.

Karachi has 1 month from some dealership, but in lahore, Central dealership person told me when we went to pick friend's elantra.

Test drove friend's sonata 2.0 after RS price hike. Massively underpowered car. If one likes to be chauffeured around only then 2.0 is a good option otherwise 2.5 is the only way to go. Unfortunately adding another 2 million for 2.5 is impossible for me so decided to stay with RS booking.

Also called honda & hyundai's dealerships. Sonata booking is open now with 2 million down & EDD is June.
RS cancellation costs 24K administrative charges & refund draft will be delivered within a month or two.

No hard feelings towards any one in particular but it’s very interesting to see people now justifying Sonata over an RS (that too on a Civic thread), a car that costs 1.5 million more than RS.

I don't think the people buying a Sonata have any insecurity. It's more to do with the absurdity of the fact that a car that is labeled as an economy/family friendly car all over the world has reached the price bracket of D Segment sedans.
So, whenever someone thinks of buying this gen's RS at its current price, he is gonna consider a car that falls almost in the same ballpark cost-wise but provides more features

Need help from experts. with prices increasing rapidly ,i am thinking of buying a new car and keeping it for a long term.
For long term use like 10 years. which is going to be a more reliable engine
1.2zr-FE ( Toyota)
or
2. 1.5T ( honda earth dreams engine)

2zr-FE will be more robust as compared to Turbo

2ZR has traditional port injection (not direct injection like newer cars). It will be more reliable over time, specially if abused maintenance wise.

It will also not be susceptible to eventual carbon buildup inside the engine (which is a design side effect of direct injection).

Direct Injection turbocharged cars need to have regular high way driving intervals for their EGR and PCV to work optimally.

There is a 1.5 million difference between on the road price of RS and Sonata 2.5. Not sure exactly how you call that same price bracket.

Also, just like C, this FWD D segment Camrys, Accords and Sonatas, etc are also an “economy/family car” segment globally.

The only difference being bigger car size and engine configurations.

I guess he is comparing with 2.0 Sonata, which is just a horrible purchase due to engine alone.

Yes, I was comparing with the 2.0.
I absolutely agree that it is a bad idea to buy the 2.0, but it only applies to me, you and few other enthusiasts who actually care about performance of a car. For the remaining 90-95% of buyers, it is a good option because all they want is a car that is comfortable to drive in city traffic and highways and has features that make their life easy.
Unfortunately, Sonata 2.0 has them and Civic RS doesn't. So, I understand why people will consider it when buying a car at this price point.
