There is no comparison between Civic and Sonata but just a drive compare of both.

I test drove Civic oriel test unit and Hyundai Sonata2.5. Drive of Civic is much more sporty and Sonata cant match to its acceleration. Sonata (2.5 version) is not under-powered at all as well with luxurious feel drive.

It is all about personal preference and happiness of a person about choice between both.

I opted for Sonata 2.5 for below reasons.

• After success of CivicX, Brand of Civic will be choice of Bherr-Chaal people and it will be everywhere on Pakistani roads. Uniqueness of Civic found on Reborn time is no more.

• Civic is being used as Taxi on all Rent a car like Corolla now. Car with flowers in front of Barat mostly does not belong to Dulha and is rented:yum: First 2 Civic Oriel 11th gen arrived in Chakwal this month belongs to rent a car.

• Civic is bought by people with Niazi Coach mentality and they use cheap chinese chrome and ruine grace and uniqueness of Civic overall.

• New Civic will need alot of expenses and modification on front to fix ugly looking front (example importing Si bumper etc).

damn, thats harsh, but true. We use to see such modifications on corollas mostly. but now all sort of chrome-kaari is also being done on the civics.

I dont get why should such things affect anyone. Buy a vehicle you like in terms of looks, features etc, irrespective of what everyone else does with it. I think a lot of us are too conscious of what others think.

That 3rd point doesn't make any sense, it's like someone doesn't want to buy a C200 because everyone puts AMG kits and a C63 AMG badge on it so he decides to sell it due to those kind of people or someone doesn't want to buy an LC100 because everyones converting them to 2020 models which looks hideous to be honest. One's peace level will increase by 100× if he doesn't care about other people, just do what you like. Plus Sonata is also used as a taxi in UAE.

AMG kit and cheap chrome are two different things.

Plus Pakistan, UAE and abroad are also different places.

Sonata is one of the mowt commonly used car as taxi but taxi means the car is reliable. Taxi point doesn’t make sense and why would anyone be chaging decisions based on how someone else keeps a car

Do paddle shifters in Civic only activate in S gear or in D as well?

In any gear, shifters can be used and primarily the usage is engine braking
