Around 26.3% increase for toyota.. Following toyota footsteps RS will be around 84 and oriel 73 and standard around 70 and not to forget the delivery time is still around May 2023.. so add around 3-4 lac premium as well. I doubt premium will be there now but u never count out the masses.

delivery will be quicker, after the price increase many people will cancel the bookings, car industry will turn like the property industry now, no one will sell no will buy, and mostly orders are from investors now

I talked with Honda Avenue dealership few days back and they said the factory have Civic CKD stock till August. After that Civic product will shutdown if government don't approve LCs.
But they have bit more City/BRV stock but not sure how long production on those vehicles can go.
Also price increase of 6 to 8 lacs is expected on City Aspire CVT.

I think in couple of months we may see Civic RS price touching 1 crore because the dollar is going up on daily basis since this more experienced government came in.

I am feeling sad for those who canceled their bookings right after launch. I think vehicle purchase is now like property. At the time of buying it feels overpriced but after couple of months/years, you feel you took the right decision.

civic fanboys club has become a joke as it is simply impossible to reason with any of them. bashing of other cars here is a norm instead of sticking to the subject. a comparison with elantra or even sonata is not warranted. there is absolutely no comparison in any area. only the comfort of both will embarrass civic to the knees. and take a look at quality control for 7 million for oriel. what is to be done with a little acceleration with such a bad quality when even the back lights look terrible at night. the brightness between the two parts is very uneven and there is a gap of almost an inch between the two and the small brake light makes it look funny. front head light beam is a small round light in the center which looks even more funnier. there is a square fog light below which does not align with the head light as well. comfort is a tad better than x but still not satisfactory by any stretch. only the rs has some character. cvt gearbox is crappy and it simply takes out the soul and spirit of drive. no real sports car uses it simply for this reason. cvt is also banned in f1. being car of the year in the us or canada does not make the local civic better in any case either....... Well that's not the case.
There's a thing called being worth the money, people who cancelled simply think this isn't worth their hard earned money.
They'll buy a yaris or a city or something in a relatively lower bracket. Har kisi kay zehan men eik range hoti hai, k yar itne paise laganey hain, when the hike came they backed off price dekh k.
Civic/corolla aren't in 35 40s now so stop thinking they'll sell like 20 30k units like before.
Their sale now will be like fortuner or revo like 1.5 2k units.
Slow and steady sales.
Average person earns 2 to 2.5 lack here, 80 lack banda laga bhe de per koi chez is qabil bhe hona tab. Aur 80 lack woh he lagney ga who has already owns all lifes necessities. Back in the days logon k pas ghar rent ka hota tha per bank se lease pe nikalwa lete they, ab itni bari amount koi nae laga sakta aese.
Right now nothing is worth buying,a picanto costs 32 lacks.
I don't know how informed are you but property sales are totally dead now.
No one's buying no one's selling.
Most bookings now are of investors, and see adds of 0 meters cars posted months ago tells you the situation.Even honda doesn't expect civic sales a lot, so the production is limited, it's not cause there are too many orders.
Civic hai ya corolla hai iska matlab ye nae hai 2 carore ki ho jaey tab bhe bikti rahe ge hazaron kay hisab se.
A very well settled guy can get these cars now.
Currently our country is in a very difficult time.

Brother not going to comment on other useless things but just wanted to point out a humble thing as an avid F1 fan that the sole reason for banning CVTs in F1 was because of massive performance gains. Low end street cars might have crappy CVTs, but when done right, CVT has huge performance potential.

If someone cancelled he faced a loss after switching . That was the whole point.itni lambi story ki zaroorat nhn hai sir. June walay oriel le letay to bech ker bhi kuch bhala hi hota. Cancellation left them stranded.

U are somewhat mistaken on no one is buying or selling. Yes sales will declines but not the margins due to such high prices. Buyers are way too many sir..idk how yes artificial hype is there but that’s a standard practice in this business

Average person never used to buy new cars anyways . Situation is worst but we don't know if its just the beginning or what.

The thing is a car which is lacking so many features, and the car which is low on power compared to overseas models doesn’t deserve this high price tag..now you will say it’s mix and match .. mix and match of the most inferior options honda could find? Yes. If it had alll the bells and whistles that overseas touring civic gets then this price tag would have made more sense but right now with this stripped out civic it just makes zero sense.. and a big crossover suv beats so called sporty rs in performance now that’s embarrassing considering the fact that it also has 1.5 turbo engine.
