Absolutely.. The RS comes with these specific 17" wheels and with contrasting black door handles.

17" wheels on RS Thailand & Indonesia.. same as seen on the PK Camouflaged.. [image] 16" wheels on two other trims in Thailand. Same are also seen in Singapore. [image] 18" wheels on Malaysia RS. [image] 18 wheels on USDM Top of the line 1.5T Touring. [image] 18" wheels on the USDM 2L NA Sport. This is a mid level trim BUT normally the most sold trim as also seen on Civic X. Should i use the rim proportions to try and calculate the ground clearance for this too or would they have not tweaked it yet

First we need to understand if this is a CBU or locally assembled vehicle.

From the information I collected and details we have looking at this camouflaged unit, I personally think we are looking at a CBU. Let's see..

OK guys, some more unofficial info. NO import of Civic XI CKD at this time, " as of today ". Civic X kits were imported BUT in lean production phase which basically means working towards change and reduced numbers/ production than normal. The camouflaged Civic as seen is possibly a CBU. For full model change assembler do test the CBU units to "benchmark" and collect data points before they develop/ produce a CKD as prototype which includes parts from local supply chain. Rough estimate does give around a 140 mm for the rocker panel height which could be off by abit due to the picture angle not being level, but that would give a low 130's ground clearance if the rim is in fact 17 inches. So i would say the actual may be 134 mm which is the international clearance of the civic and the same as they have in Asean countries so def a CBU

Sir, that's is why I am saying it's CBU because this 6 million price coincides with the declared value of CBU.. $33763.

CKD obviously will be priced lower.

Hmmm. I think they pricing it on par. But lets see. We can't know for sure. Look at the stunt they pulled with City. They tested CKD directly. And the pricing was the same as the testing unit.

Also, I don't think it makes sense for Honda to test a CBU unit since it is very heavily localized. Khair let's see.

It's pretty early to predict anything regarding features, price or launch.
Things will become clearer once the CKD-registered vehicle is spotted testing. That will help make vague estimates on price and features.

But one thing is for sure, after the messed up city launch (overpriced, cheap quality) - I can bet that the civic will never be good value for money. Will be a good 0.5mil above competition.

No import of CKD kits of 11th as of today.

They are just driving a CBU to have some public interest and attraction . All local assemblers benchmark the CBU before they develop a local CKD prototype.

Didnt they import this CBU quite some time ago? Also, these companies must know some way of bypassing the documentation at customs.

I honestly believe they will begin their pre booking campaign in January, release it in Feb. Deliver 2 weeks after they announce it officially. All signs point to a local version of the car being ready. Mind you, they would not have to import a CKD kit for testing. They have most of the mechanicals already present here. Chassis etc could be built here, for prototyping. That's why I am a bit skeptical of this being a CBU unit.

At the same time, we have to keep in mind that Honda had a GM6 with them for over 3 years before they actually made the car. So idk. Also, wouldn't Honda have to pay duties on top of the 33k usd? Like are they allowed duty-free cars? Because as far as I remember, they cannot be registered.

Overpriced yeah, cheap quality idk. It is much better than Yaris in terms of quality. Feels much more solid and the seats are so much better. Sadly, the comparison here is relative. In a perfect world, both cars have a really poor quality. Hopefully we see much better stuff this time from Honda. Soft touch materials are a must in Civic. And a proper MID guage. Not the stupid one that came with the X

yes CBU Civic was imported a while ago and around May 2021.

They can't bypass the documentation for CKD kits. Each kit/ frame#/engine number is documented and entered into the FBR with GD. Each individual kit is entered along with its price . When I got it checked [ Mid December 21 ] , I checked via someone who have an official system which is not accessible to public. Keep in mind, if Atlas wanted, they could have bypassed the system at the time of CBU single import, that didn't happen and we know exactly what was imported along with chassis number.

as I mentioned earlier, expect first batch of CKD kits in next couple of months. Display at showroom floor possibly June / July. Pathetic prebooking with no details on specification, features, variants or price is obviously will happen earlier than that; same way happened in the case of City.

As an additional info, CBU City was imported in January 2020. we didn't see it on the road because there was extensive lockdown for most of the time till late summer of 2020 / end of 2020, Atlas operation was severely hammered due to Covid cases. At one point there were over 300 people positive at factory floor. Also Honda Atlas might have not needed to camouflage the City it because it looked like any other GM6 JDM import in the country. So no need for camo-wrap.

Lastly, lets see if we can get more pictures of this demo Civic for further evaluation. I personally think, official launch with display is 6 months away.

I think fazal is putting this right way.All evidences are pointing in this direction. However, are you sure we won't see 1.8 Civic XI

we have checked full data entered as of today. There are no 11th gen CKD kits. It does not matter if you import the kits and sell it to the Atlas, the FBR system will enter it as the CKD kit, model name, Honda, Civic , Engine details. Only importer name will be different, the imported stuff , technicalities remains same.

Also why Honda Atlas will import it from third party ? there is no benefit to it. These companies gets certain tax credits on CKD, only Atlas can avail that NOT the third party.

looking at Civic XI models launched in other RHD markets where there used to be 1.8 for Civic X, 1.8L is dropped. There is a greater possibility same happens in Pakistan. Again we are not sure at this point.

Okay but what if they imported multiple units before and didn't show? Because I think they are allowed to do that. Honda has been known to drop subtle hints so that people like you and me can take this info to the market and create hype.

I meant to ask that can they bypass the system for the time being (while they test etc)? For example, they can use the chassis from the CBU unit, but every part on it can essentially be local no? The legal documentation only registers engine and chassis, which is of the same quality in Pakistan.

True. The ground clearance will be a telling factor. And Honda sensing sensor arrays. It has front mounted sensors, compared to Honda Sensing Advanced, which has a bigger array. Thailand RS has Sensing Advanced as standard.

Not arguing. Just sating. I can import ckd and pay full duty. Like i can import 2 ckds for atlas and it wont come under atlas name.( atlas wont mind paying me full duty)

Also, people mix match duties all the time. Thats not a strict case.

Do u know the part numbers of civic 11th gen ckds??
