Yes, and Civic's competitors have beaten all historic sale records numbers in the last 1.5 years?

Cars, new or old are only worth what "actual" customers are willing to pay for them.

The key take away for Atlas especially (and others too for that matter) should be to improve customer care for their actual customers, and put investors/dealers on back burner to restore confidence.

There has been rumor that lots of order's for Civics have been cancelled. If any one has any insight on the no of bookings they still have ?

Bhai in which world u are living? IDK really. Since Feb factory is doing nothing, no imports etc. Are u able to get RS at 70 lacs? if yes then it's doomed. lol . Till today RS is selling very well in used market and reason is the lack of parts and production. It's still selling better than others in same segment and range.One can sell RS today to get a replacement from a competitor easily.. this means overall market is in balanced.

They gave 2 new models and new models mean huge expense but unfortunately market situation and imports caused the issue. Its not selling cheap anywhere so always take overall situation in consideration. Factory nhn chalay gi to cars kahan se ani hai?

Orders were surely cancelled as supply chain is badly disturbed. Bookings recently started again for Feb 2024 delivery (Funny timres) . Globally Honda is still not comfortable in parts and in pakistan imports issue is adding fuel to fire.

You are happy on what? New entrants are under more stress. Pakistan needs stability otherwise none of us can remain happy. One can like or dislike something based on any reason but closing industry is more of a problem.

People who have to buy are buying. A good example is haval, fortuner and tucsons.

We cant get RS in 7-8 million and thats the most idiotic thing that happened . Thats what i am talking about. If Haval H6 is in 9 mil, civic oriel should better be under 8. No, honda badge doesnt matter anymore.

you are totally wrong.. initially i thought the same.... just like you ..when i heard the price but i can tell you prob is factory is not producing the civic .. there are lot of people willing to buy CIVIC at all cost. ( in my acquittance they are anxiously waiting for deliveries some booked on hard cash. )

plus Haval is SUV .and chineese. civic lover will not move to SUV or something like that its kinda hard.

leaving the differences aside, Honda did invest in new models. Civic, HRV and City (though old shape) and must be having huge depreciation directly impacting their gross margins. On top they are hardly producing any thing this year. I can only imagine the loss they must be having.

That's the only reason Corolla is cheaper than Civic right now. As soon as they introduce the new model, the price of Corolla will be almost same as Civic.

I am not sure whats worst between a hyper priced featureless oriel or a 12 year old corolla with 10% cheaper price tag.

Toyota can't produce new corolla until they upgrade to the new TNGA platform.

Now they are upgrading their plant to manufacture corolla cross which is also a part of toyota TNGA. We might see the new rolla very soon; and maybe a hybrid one?

They launched HRV quickly because of the civic fail. They tried a wrong sub compact cross over and missed cruise control in it. Its not about Honda guys, its what Atlas is doing with Hondas.

so cheer up. you can still be a Honda or civic fan boy but if you defend atlas and its products; you are not helping any one.

HRV was a planned move to enter the CSUV market....
How can you think that they rushed with HRV to counter civic failure? Do you know how much investment, R&D, plant upgrades, and marketing it takes to launch a whole new segment?

Atlas has no R&D. and if it was planned, they would have either studied 2008 or local vezel. they just shoot in the foot in panic.
