Ok, thanks for letting me know about the ecu cover. I am making a list of items I need to ask/clarify/purchase when I visit the dealership again - month of delivery is May, so plenty of time still.

I Found those quotes -page 460 of this thread.

Toyota airport told me that 11 gen corolla ecu is covered properly so no need to cover ECU, does anyone else asked from dealership?

I asked TCM. The service manager said the cover should not be installed as it obstructs ventilation of hot air from ecu.

The OEm rims are same as the old gen corolla They were available at Asad Tires for 25k
And yes I also installed Steel mate.. I got the keyless and Scratch card .. the same shop which I mentioned heera autos or something it is right beside automart .and they also had the altis 1.6 brand new dvd player for like 16k.. About the andriod based navi which comes in Grande I really dont know

It is a gift from Rizwaan bhai.

It comes with two year warranty and is available from lahore .

I installed it with help of rizwaan bhai on phone plus an electrician too but he haven't seen this type of system before so didn't know anything about it. Electrician helped me in opening dashboard and i showed him how and where the wires get plugged.

Ignition system is still there but it is useless now as it is completely bypassed. I will be covering ignition port with a cap soon.

I dont think so that thieves will bypass this system easily as it doesn't involve ignition system at all and to start the car you need RFID remote ( like the immobilizer that is installed in Civic ).

Yes the key is Jack Knife Style. ( Picture is attached as a reference )

I didn't drill a hole for installing push button. There is already space given for installing push button. You can see it in your cars too.

Also you can go for michillen Xm2 ( Only UK made) very good and soft tires they weren't available at Asad tires that's why i got Yokohama Advan DB 195/65/R15

Only thing I need to find out is whether the 16" OEM wheels at the dealership (Thailand) and the same design at Zafcom (the guy said they're from Taiwan) are the same - bit confusing. Will be getting a price from dealership on those to compare.

How much steel mate costed & what's scratch card

I dont remeber the price really i bought alot of stuff that day , will have to dig for the receipt and sorry its called a smart key or card ..

I saw a friends GLi 2012 yesterday. It had a smart card entry sort of thing installed by Capital Police (15). There is a laser scanner installed near the steering assembly, u have to scan the smart card over there to enable the ignition system.

He says the police claims the car is not driveable without this car no matter what an intruder might do. Does anyone have information on this? What thing is that?

Steelmate's smart card security systems are available in Market.. installed inside dash near steering.. to unlock the car u need to scan or swipe the smart key near that..

I was also about to buy that Ecu cover while shopping goodies for my Gl A/T .. But I remembered some Pak Wheeler saying that it caused over heating or something .. That's why I didn't go for it

I got air press from auto mart chrome 1's for 2500 ..
get a good car cover as well you don't want your beauty to get dusty after a good detailing session

Wallaaaa... Now my Altis 1.6 is handfree keyless with a push start and best RFID Protection ( Kind of Immobilizer ) .Now i dont need car key at all. Thanks to @rizwaan400 bhai for this gift .He is truly a gem of person, helped me a lot and made efforts for me by sparing his precious time for me to make this system work in my Altis 1.6 . The best part of this system is..

1.It is plug and play. You don't need to cut even a single wire. Installation is very easy.
2.With this system, car is now having Hand-free key-less entry. you just need to go near the car with a remote in your pocket and the door will unlock and vice versa.
3.It has a pushstart plus remote start. Go near the car , doors unlock automatically, just sit on driving seat press the push button and engine starts and your remote is still in your pocket.
4.Remote start. In a hot weather, your car cabin gets hot if you park your car in direct sunlight. No you cant use ignition key, but can also use your old original car wireless key

I guess the key is for manually opening the door in case if the cell in the remote key dies.

Its only for your personal satisfaction or any emergency purpose like car battery dies or in case of fire etc.

Steering lock will disable by inserting a extra key in Ignition. Ignition will not work in any case.

I really don't remember prices lol , but it was for 2500 i think .. they best one they had its water/dust/heat proof
cheaper ones are also available there like I almost went for the dust proof cover.. and for the chrome grill i didn't get it installed but Auto mart had 2 different type of grills 1 which comes in grande and 1 with different design he was asking 2k not sure tho
