I had physically inspected this dark brown and RED colors in Lahore Cantt Motors, when they were on trial road shows this past Dec/January. I took pics of them, but don't have them on my phone right now. The red was sharper and shiny and looked good, while the Dark Brown was not very appealing, at least to me.

What is the feedback on recently launched Dark Brown colour by Toyota Indus? If anyone has bought or seen this colour I would appreciate sharing of his comments.

I guess, 2012+ model vitz also has this kind of color.

But they have not launched RED colour, I guess this is based on public response. Of course colour is a personal choice.

Getting my Corolla GLi delivery tomorrow. The thing which troubles me is that i have booked it in Gun Metallic color. But the texts i have been receiving from IMC say my WHITE GLi will be expected to be delivered on 26th June. I contacted the dealership, but they i will get the Gun Metallic color. Im a little confused here. Should i take the dealerships word for this? What if the car im delivered is white?

i booked my grande last month in super white , I also got the texts stating my car was attitude black , but I got it in white. Don't worry you will get your car in your desired color.

What is DASL ??????

Driver adaptive shift logic. unlike older transmissions which had shift values set at certain rpm, the DASL does not have any set values rather it calculates it each time using a complex alogarithm based on driver demand, engine torque, road tilt and vehicle speed. both CVT-i and Super ect are based on it.

If you see the chart carefully 0w20 is based for temperatures less than 30degrees that why i suggested 5w30 wich is fully capable of taking the beat of Pakistani summers.If you look at the chart suppplied by your auto manufacturer,
you will see what oils to use for given temp ranges.Mobil states

[h=2]your vehicle manufacturer recommends a 0W-20 viscosity. A 0W-30 viscosity can also be used. We offer these motor oils to help protect your vehicle.[/h]
5w30 as we dont really need 0w oil as we dont experience snowy winters.

In Pakistani summer minimum should be 40 not 30 in the upper range. Buhat garmi hoti ha yaar idhar, aap kay Murree, Abbottabad ma rehtay ho? Those oils could be for European or North American and Canadian winters, not for Asian, esp Pakistan.

Let me begin by saying that i always use the 5w30 from shell but i have a specific reason for that which i shall explain later. Having said that, majority of all our vehicles in rwp, isb, lhr, khi, pesh etc should be using a 10w40. To understand it you need to know what the value 30 or 40 or 50 actually mean? they are a grading of viscosity but what do these figures actually mean? Figure that out and you'll understand my recommendation better.

As far as mineral vs synthetic is concerned, there is no true synthetic (PAO) available in retail in Pakistan and maybe the whole region! all oils marketed as synthetic are actually grade III which is synthetic but with mineral base. True synthetic is grade IV and above. They are hardly available as retail even in western countries. Mostly they are sold in barrels to official dealerships of high performance vehicles only.

i want to ask k agar gari 90 100 ki speed pe ho aur mere paas grande auto hai tou level R reverse pe chala jata agar kisi ka hath lag jaye. is mein koi safety feature hai regarding this issue?

Booked a Gli Automatic in Attitude Black. Delivery time was November in Islamabad so got it booked from Faisalabad. Delivery in September now ! Alhamdulillah and Insha Allah

how long it took for your car delivery ? and what were the stages involved in between ? did IMC text you when your car was invoiced ?

to me they are just quoting the expected delivery month not date.

No safety. As I found out the hard way with the last gen corolla. Had my sister demonstrate it to me while the car was running at 60. I remember the Grinding noise like all hell broke lose in the engine and gears. Surprisingly it still ran after the screeching halt. But the car smelled like burnt plastic from a short circuit for the rest of the day. You could even smell it three houses far.
Never found out what happened in the engine that day but I'm glad it still runs like new.

i wish k is mein koi aisa safety feature ho automatically transmission lock honay wala. Agar is generation k sath kisi ka aisa experience huwa ho tou kindly share it

Actually the gate type zig zig shifter is designed to prevent accidental shifting to R because in other automatic cars you have a button under shifter for lock

yeah youre right but still kabhi kisi bachay ka hath lag jaye ya kisi ki knee lag jaye. waisay there should be safety feature of getting lock before R. one of my friend told me grande mein safety feature hai yeh but mujhe ahbi bhi doubt hai.

Booked Altis 1.6 attitude black from Karachi, delivery time September, thinking to change colour as black is very common here, Altis also have an option of super white but I hate white..... Suggestion for colour attitude black or strong blue?
