Hey really in 11th Gen GLI...With Eco Mode does the acceleration decreases if its ON and can we get more power when it is OFF...Please Clarify!!!

Honestly if this thing is true then this is a very high grade feature which should be present in expensive cars like there is ECON in Civic!!!

But glad to see if this feature is present in cheap cars also like GLI e.t.c!!!

Eco function is not available in Gli manual but 1.3 Automatic has it.

Could be fuel quality but i got pretty much same results from everywhere. I will try shell Zenith. Not sure about High Octane availability in Hyderabad. Cheers!

Thanks for posting the pics. I have already uploaded the link of PDF Corolla manual above. But the real question is that what is the purpose of switching off Eco light? Does it have an impact on ECU settings? If yes then it is a very useful feature a sort of driving profile, like Econ button in Civic.

The Grande manual mentions 91 Ron petrol. I've heard that we only get 87 rons at the local petrol stations. So should I be using pure high octane instead? Should it cause any harm to the engine?

Use Total's petrol it's 90 rons. As Zubaida Apa totka add some Hi-octain (30% HOBC-70% Total Hi Super)

Here is how to turn off the ECO MODE (GLI-AUTO)

1-Press the Disp button for 5 seconds
2-u will see eco on
3- to turn it off short press disp button again
4-now u will see eco off
5-long press again u will see normal disp

I find very little use for the ECO button tbh, it effects the driving performance a bit especially for guys like me who cant stand tardy acceleration but it does give a more smoother driving experience. I encourage folks to see what else gets effected when the eco mode is on, for example have a look at the air conditioning see if that slows down a notch as well.

I don't think its an eco MODE. Its just an option to enable/disable the eco zone lamp. Present in altis 1.8L as well.

read the manual in detail today for eco mode / lamp. and it doesnt say turning off or on the eco mode. its just the eco light.

What i understand by reading the manual is that the button only turns off the eco indicator, eco mode is always enabled, exept for when the car is travelling at 130 or more km/h.

Correct me if im wrong.
