I need to renew my Grande's insurance. I got the car insured with TDI last year at around 4%, they charge exorbitant percentage on premiums, never claimed anything. They sent a renewal letter with a premium of 3.8% this year (Comprehensive insurance, previous was car 4 car). I use my other car and this Grande' keeps on parked in the Garage most of the times.

I am looking for some cheaper options this year. Can someone recommend any good insurance company with rates around 3% please?

So here are the screen shots.

corolla does not have a cold/hot needle? i saw same in City 2004 onwards too...

i think it is instantaneous mileage readings as speed is 60 km. if u reset yhe average, then drive on 100 -120 km , you will get actual average

i did the same.. fill up the tank to the full,reset the average and mileage meter and started the journey and then took that reading and this is not instantaneous reading

how much you have to pay yearly for insurance ?

yearly Insurance payment rate will be same but car value will be depreciated 10% annually and after depreciating then we have to pay for insurance!
2015: 1,845,000
2016: 1,845,000 X 10% = 184,500 (Depreciation)
1,845,000-184,500=1,660500 X 3.5%= 581175/- will be paid in next year July!

negotiation is always possible too in deciding the sum insured provided it is reasonable...i mean a mehran cannot be insured for a sum insured of 1million neither a corolla 2015 can be insured for 1m.

a bit lower sum insured is usually kept to save a bit on premiums..since in anycase, you have deductions for claims lodged

So Guys what you think what will be the full tank fuel consumption and fuel mileage per liter of Altis 1.6, 2015 model almost 6500 km driven with stock eurostars tyres. What your experience say,

Conditions are:

1. 30 min Stop with AC and Engine Running
2. 150 km City drive of Lahore With AC ON all the time between R.A Bazaar, bedian Road, Whole Mall Road, Data Darbar, some Km in defense, Two Times Ravi Pul Crossing from GT Road Side with heavy traffic (Stuck almost 15 to 20 min for crossing,Lahore people know the condition there) means Approx 150 km bumper to bumper Traffic not exceeding above 20 km/hr speed mostly
3. 150 km Village Drive with AC ON all the time on unpaved single roads mostly with a lot of Chinchis, bullets ( Bikers ) and what more.

Rest GT Road drive if i will not be missing something.

Note: Do not count reserve fuel in full tank fuel consumption, let say next fuel top up will be when ODO meter shows range 15 km and you all guys know that reserve fuel will be present still when range shows 0 km.

Response in this regard from pakwheels members are highly appreciated. Waiting for your skillful replies. , Will show the result in the end with pics proof.

Pretty Nice average . i got 18.4 km/l on GT road from Rawalpindi to Wazirabad on average speed of 80 km/hr, distance traveled 157.8 km. Posted the ODO meter screen shots on previous pages.

It is impressive since cruise was on 118 all the time and using Dunlop 205/65/15.
