corolla still does not come with a reliable anti theft system. whereas suzuki is offering an immobilizer since 2004 (baleno, then liana then swift and now WagonR)...

Alhamdulillah, i own an xli and a liana..and liana is a great fun to drive w.r.t its price! corolla is 3 times more in price and still not over 20% better in luxury and comfort! han, if you are from Dubai or somewhere else then you can call Suzuki a shitzuki...but, by chance, if you are from paki, then believe it or not, suzuki is a 'way of life' here...peace

Never. I drove my 05 Xli from 0-134,000 kms and never felt the need for such a service, even I did not allow any tuning because all along the car had been giving 14 kms in city and 17 on long and there was no starting problems or missing. Just allowed them to clean the plugs and changed plugs thrice in the life time and the engine was like new when I sold it after 10 years.

I however, changed transmission oil, break oil and power steering oil after every 40-45 k kms.

Reset meter after refill last night and drove 52 kms and got this average

front DLAA fog lights for 3200

HID with blaster in fogs for 2500

DRLS for 3500

scuff plates with light for 2450

front chrome grill for 1200

back rear bumper lights for 1500

Full Tank Fuel Consumption of Altis 1.6, 2015 Model 6500km driven with stock eurostar Tyres

Fuel Mileage per Liter: 15.7 km/l
Distance Traveled: 686.7 km
Range (Distance You can Travel still): 16 km

Total Distance Traveled in one Full Tank: 686.7+16= 702.7 km
In Rs 3400/- i filled up my tank again means around 44 liter has been poured in fuel tank.

Note: Reserve Fuel was still present if Range will show 0 km.

Condition of Driving are:

1. 30 min Stop with AC and Engine Running
2. 150 km City drive of Lahore With AC ON all the time between R.A Bazaar, bedian Road, Whole Mall Road, Data Darbar, some Km in defense, Two Times Ravi Pul Crossing from GT Road Side with heavy traffic (Stuck almost 15 to 20 min for crossing,Lahore people know the condition there) means Approx 150 km bumper to bumper Traffic not exceeding above 20 km/hr speed mostly
3. 150 km Village Drive with AC ON all the time on unpaved single roads mostly with a lot of Chinchis, bullets ( Bikers ) and what more.

Rest GT Road drive if i will not be missing something.

Engine tuning is only required if car is giving starting trouble, idling problems, missing or jerking or consuming more fuel. Just get plugs cleaned and brake service at every 10,000 kms.

However, change fluids and filters when they ask because it's good for engine, transmission.

I only changed fornt disc pads (just for the heck of it) after 80,000 kms. Rear disc pads were good even after 134,000 kms. Changed just the drive belt after 100,000 kms (just for the heck of it) it could run another 20,000 kms, but did it as preventive measure.

The hoses were still strong after 10 years, not a single pipe changed or it gave away.

Replaced the stock coolant after 100,000 kms and seven years (just for the heck of it). It was mentioned in on engine bay sticker coolant to be replaced at 167,000 kms.

So see Corolla is basically a workhorse and build to last.

On periodic visits, just ask them to inspect things and carefully see what parts really need to be replaced.

Brother you are absolutely right euro star is a soft tyre and perform well on bad sufaces but only drawback it has is, it is very heavy and puts a load on suspension due to that reason its breaking and handling is not as good as imported tyres but again you need to choose the tyre according to you priorities. compromise is their.
I opted for Advan Db and for me they are super soft specially the side walls due to that reason they perform poorly on rough terrains like pot holes, steel Cat Eyes and crakes on roads. aboviously due to soft/weak side walls their cornering is marvelous but we need to understand that we have family sedans not sports cars, Which runs on tracks every once in a week.
so in my opinion atleast Advan is overrated in Pakistan, they are not all-rounder at all.
Ayways Db lovers are going to differ from my opinion but i wrote what i have experienced so far.

In my opinion Michelin is better for our roads, specially "Energy Saver" ones. They are a bit soft and better side walls to handle rough roads beating. Xm2 must be good as well but for me they are a bit on a harder side.
CC5 must be good as well but right now my vote is for Michelin Energy Saver, I would like someone to shed some light on "Energy Savers" performance.
plz right a first hand experience, Don't narrate (sunni sunnai) stories from a friend or some shop wala.

And did the fitter cut some wires for fogs or were they fitted directly to ECU with a grip?
