Get your tyres changed asap bro. Euros are just crap. The true potential of corolla's suspension comes out on Advan DB etc. Your car will have better grip, braking and a suspension that will absorb bumps beautifully. Moreover, DB is noiseless where as euros are hell noisy.

Another thing that the dealership guy told me was to keep the ECU covered before washing the engine bay, as it may malfunction if exposed to water and new one costed 1 lac Though, I don't plan to wash the engine bay with water, will only be using electric air blower to wipe off loose dust, and applying mild APC to keep the engine bay clean. Is covering ECU still recommended and how to do so?

Yes the ECU must remain covered, well i suspect that why in Pakistan, the main processor of the car should be so exposed to the water and stuff, they should hide it near the back wall of the engine or what, but still you have to cover it in any case.

Congratulations on getting the new car. There is no need for ECU cover as I have heard that it prevents heat form dissipating, though i have never heard about ECU gone bad with or without cover. No need to wash engine way. Once a month blow of dust and clean it with a damp rag soaked in mild shampoo or APC. Buy some brushes to reach to hard to reach areas, even bottle and feeder brushes are useful to clean the engine.

Use a good interior dressing on plastics and engine top cover to keep it black.

As for as tires are concerned it is personal choice. I am satisfied with Euro Stars and will again replace with Euro Stars after 60,000-70,000 kms.

Get it from any cars market near your house, it should not cost you more than Rs.1.5K. (in the extreme cases)

Thanks a lot. I got mine from Hyderabad within 24 days as dealership had ready quota available for Altis 1.6. You may check with dealerships in your city to have an idea of estimated delivery schedule of Altis 1.6, but its hard to get one so soon at this point in time.

My car was 26 kms driven and the previous 2005 also had same reading. Yours might have been delivered on a small truck right at the doorsteps of the show room.

The cars are usually unloaded out of city trucking terminals and from there showroom drivers bring them to dealerships as long vehicles are not allowed to enter in several cities during day time.

It is every normal.

Alhumdulillaah, got delivery of Altis 1.6 in Super White today (got it within 24 days). Dealership guy wanted me to sign the delivery papers before inspecting the car, to which I plainly refused saying how could I accept some thing without even inspecting it first. There were 14 Corollas that came in a batch to dealership, of which 2 were ready for delivery, mine Altis 1.6 and a silver GLI 1.3

Nevertheless, inspected most of the things given in pre-delivery inspection Checklist and found them operative. Took a 4-litre can of petrol with myself and asked them to fill it inside the car, to which the dealership guy chuckled saying, Sir aap to poori tayyari kay sath aye hain :D.

Since, it is an upgrade from Suzuki to Toyota, my first impression about the car may seem exaggerated to some respected members, but I would simply say Woh about this variant. While driving it back to home, the car went to 80KM/hour without any effort, while I thought I was driving at 40 KM/hour. The speed increases smoothly with out letting the driver realize. The brakes are super responsive as ABS kicks in well. I would like to thank all respected members, for their valuable help and support. May Allaah reward all of you with the best. Best regards

No other show room confirmed this news of immobiliser in grande to be exact and no pak wheeler confirmed either that guy spreading this newa is either nuts or he can see the very far future

I think i should not wait further and get the vehicle booked 1 in hand is better than 2 in bushes if nothing new is around in GRANDE so 2015 or 2016 both r ok with me .......
