I do understand what you mean. The Alto driver must have pushed the accelerator down to the final level, after which it couldn't have been pressed further, in order to achieve that speed. I also had this thinking in my mind that GLI auto was an underpowered car, but had to change my views later. Of course, I can't expect a 1.3 cc engine to perform like a 1.6 cc, but given the limitations (smaller 1.3 cc engine coupled with auto tranny and huge body), GLI auto isn't an underpowered car in my sight. Others respected owners may disagree with it but I do respect their views as well.

I have touched 165 + and it was easily going more on my gli auto but i was feeling as it is not in my control so reduced the speed.

I have driven on lahore to isl motorway at 140km/h continuously with 5 people on board and trunk full of bags. I was traveling from Karachi.
On a lighter note, Over Speeding charges was of 750 rupees on motorway.

Sir I totally disagree

Corolla specially GLI is a total flop, thousands Pakistani including me are foolish owners of this sluggish car, and thousands more stupids are waiting for their Corollas so desperately ... and those who do not own GLI are the best judge of this tin box on four wheels .. this 1300 CC car cannot accelerate like Bugati and you even can not fly it like F-16 .. this car should be called " Warraich Tyyara" The local route bus .. a 660 CC car can beat it in a race so easily .... hope someone on this forum is satisfy now after reading these comments by a GLI owner .. my comments seems stupid, but I am not the only one here with this kind of posts .. there is at least one more person here

^^ Lol, I have been driving a Gli M/T since last 4 months and encountered almost all driving conditions; hilly to plain, G.T road to M2, dry to wet roads etc and it performed really well Alhumdulillah.
Sometimes shokhay boys in their current gen city, swift or gli, xli (different gens) with their cheap and absurd hids on full beam come behind making uncomfortable, just to give them taste of their own medicine, I give way and throw full beam at them from behind. No matter how hard they are or accelerator, my Gli doesn't let them go anywhere.
In short, it can keep up with every car in 1300cc category and hence nullifying the underpowered myth.
