Welcome to Day 7 
Today was a long drive so we were out and ready to depart by 6 a.m.
Morning was beautiful and it had rained a lot last night and felt like rain just stopped before our departure as there were lots of puddles on the road.
We started our journey from Astore towards Chillum Chauki in beautiful cold weather. The drive was immense pleasure with roof covers removed 
We stopped at Chillum for breakfast and to get contact at Minimarg for permission of visit. We tried and waited for an hour to get our contacts in touch with Minimarg officials but no success. The guards told us that "afsar log hien sab so rahey hon gey" 
We reached Chillum around 8:30 a.m. and spent around 2 hrs there and finally decided to go directly to Deosai Plains. It was raining in patches when we entered Deosai and we were extremely lucky to find a dry patch when we reached Sheosar Lake. Infact, sun came out for brief moments while we were climbing on left side mountains to get better views of the lake.
We spent an hour or so around Sheosar Lake and then resumed the journey towards Bara Pani. The whole group enjoyed their ride through Deosai as it was first visit for all of them and 2nd for me
When we reached Bara Pani, a huge thunderstorm was building up in the background. We decided to have noodles for our lunch there and that was no doubt the best meal we had in whole tour Chilly wind, dark clouds approaching in the background and we enjoying noodles ......
Moments after i had given the statement that we didn't encounter a thunderstorm in this tour, the clouds started to roar and it turned out to be a big thunderstorm that afternoon
Like my previous visit, the journey from Bara Pani till the exit of Deosai National Park was spent in heavy rain. The rain stopped when we went down to Skardu road.
It was evening time when we crossed Sadpara Dam and we stayed in Skardu city for an hour to restore the supplies
Then we moved on to Shangri La Resorts for the night stay. We got 3 rooms in cottages near the dining hall. We immediately went for dinner as kitchen was due to close soon. Unfortunately, when i got free from logistics, the lights were off so i couldn't take any night shots.
I was kind of disappointed with the stay quality at Shangri La as buildings were old and dirty specially if u compare the money they charge for the stay, it was pure disappointment. But no doubt, the atmosphere outside is amazing be it any time of the day or night ... Shangri La Lake is simply outstanding !!!!
