This is my complete journey plan I' ll post my plan in hours not mileage because there were two male members in my family me & my son but my son was not intrested in any activity like this.
KHI -BHP 11 hrs (1.75 hrs lunch & pray break)
BHP -ABBT 10.5 hrs ( 1.5 hrs break) We took route Bhp -Mult-Khanewal-Kabirwala-Shorkot-Jhang bypass-Chiniot-Pindi Bhattian-M2-M1-Burhan Interchange-Hassan Abdal-Abbt.
ABBT-CHILLAS 10 hrs (2 hrs break) Road from Abbt to Thakot was in good condition but after that just ok.IMP You must have original cnic to travel on this road.This rout had mix scenries some times rocky mountains & some times lush green and River Indus will travel with you most of the time.
CHILLAS-KARIMABAD 10.5 hrs (2.5 hrs break)Road from Chill to Raikot was in good condition and then Raikot to juglot the road is in very bad condition after juglot excellent road with bad patches the constuction work is in progress and I think it will take 2 to 3 years more.Traveling time between Gilgit and Karimabad is 3 hrs 1.5 hrs excelent metal road other 1.5 hrs just gravel.
KARIMABAD-EAGLE NEST 0.5 hr Metal road with steep encline.
We missed our two trips of Hoopar vallay and Naltar vallay because of closing of road by some protesting people.
There is nothing special in Gilgit Except hot temp (38 c) and cold tap water.
GILGIT-RAMA 8 hrs (2 hrs break)KKH to Astore metal road & from Astore to Rama metal road with very steep incline.Although we reached Rama but we did'nt see the Rama Lake because of extreme cold weather even two blankets were not enough in night.
RAMA-DESOI 3.5 hrs We travelled till Sheosar lake. At Chillium check post and Desoi entrance the people warned us. (Ye aap ki gari Desoi tak nahin ja sakti aap jeep karawalen) but through the coutesy of God we made it.
Road till Chillium just inside the park was good but after that just mud ,dust and rock.
