So, I just traveled about 300 km this weekend and here are the fuel average results ... it gave me an average of 19.6 km/l with full AC + 2% of this includes city driving : )
trip meter set to 0 and tank full...
completed 300.9 km journey.... 2% of which is city driving : )
15.337 liters of petrol filled again till the full tank...
The car in question is Yaris sedan automatic 1.3L engine.
You achieved it with 1.3l engine.. alhamdullilah I achieved this with 1.8 Grande cvtiUploading...
Great, the difference being the RPM i guess, because at this speed, my RPM meter nearly touches 3 mark ... and i can c yours at 2 mark...
I Kept Yaris 2014 same shape in Riyadh for 2 Year & it use to deliver 15-16 KM/L on higway.Only con I found was 4 gear Automatic transmission (Takes too much RPM) & car touch speed breaker with 2 passengers at back.
My Toyota Premio 2.0 G gives me 15+ km/ltr with AC .
You are right... I have noticed that Grande achieve 100 km/h at 2k RPM with AC on. Average is 18-19. But if you accelerate till 120-130 average drops to 16-17. But RPM remains around 2k. Due to cvti transmission.
Nice... Which engine it has?? 2NZFE???
It's 2ZR-FE...138HP Engine
Exactly, higher RPM due to 4 gears and it touches almost all speed breakers with 4 adults in the car : (
Then how is it 1.3ltr?
It's 1.8l engine Toyota Grande
yes , the one I am talking about has 2NZ-FE
CVTs are inherently bad at extreme ends i-e low gear ratio and high gear ritos/ pick up and high speeds. They perform to their optimum best when running at 80-100 (speeds vary according to engine displacement). Check this video out, he explains the concept quite well
