You're right. They ARE. And it's torturous as to which one I should keep, and which one I should chop.
There's a part of me that says: they're both different vehicles. They're both BEAUTIFUL vehicles. Keep them both.
And in my mind's eye, I can actually imagine the pair of them; in identical colour, with identical interior and upholstery, with near identical V8 engines, propelling identical large-sized wheels with almost identical smoking rubber.
Even now, I realise that the '65 is the problem child. The '67 is complete, and wouldn't really require a great deal of effort to turn it into a work of automotive art. The '65, on the other hand, lacks a great deal of basic infrastructure. Aamir Bhai will be of great help in sorting out the windshield / windows problems. But even then, the '65 requires an engine, transmission, dashboard, seats and a huge makeover at the hands of a denter / coach-builder / painter. The Catch-22, if you will...is that the '65 is basically a better looking car...one that screams to be "rebirthed" rather than cannibalised and chopped up to provide parts.
I'll be doing some SERIOUS thinking about this conundrum, in the days to come.
