About the rims, option 1 is better and has been tried and tested. The truck walas as you say do this. Do it on the rear wheels only so you'll end up with a staggered set. Also, i suggest not to cut up a good rim. These are getting harder to find and it would be a shame to cut up a perfectly solid rim. Find yourself a pair (if you're doing rear only) with a rusted and damaged outer band (not uncommon). The inner part is usually always solid.

If you're dropping the rear too then you wont be needing the caster shims. Its used when you want a rake.

What kind of adjusters have you got? The avis type or sway-away? I believe the avis type to be the better since you dont have to cut the beam with that.

yes . I am Lowering the rear too . though now i am going to have the same ammount of drop on the rear as to match the front . I bought the caster shims incase in future if i want to go Have a CAL-LOOK beetle . i thought maybe i would need a set or two . so i bought them .

I have AIRKEWLD's Sway Away Type Asjusters with 7" adjustability . That means i will have to cut the beam .
Before buying them i did alot of research and most of the people prefferred the sway away as they were much safer so i decided to buy these .

Ive heard truck people do . but i cant go to any truck wala and make him do this . cause i dont want to topple my vw on the motorway . Can you kindly suggest someone (truck shop) or Tag any person here or introduce me to anyone who has allready been through this and done this so i could gather the required information from them ?
plus . yes i am gonna only do the rear ones for now atleast .the rims on my car are not in very good nick though . allthough they are now because i repaired them . they had Holes in them before ( not the center part) . anyways if i opt to keep these where will i be able to find some beaten up ones . plus i am in search of pre 65 rims ( non slotted ones ) . or if i dont find some . i will have to fill these ugly slots .

Khalid is the best guy for the job.
Denter at his workshop in westridge is also the best denter i have met so far .i got my vw restored from him.

again khalid is the guy for the adjusters he has some guy who does this for him have seen a couple of front beams modified by him ,i got a one modified by him aswell for the front air ride setup but i couldnt get round to fitting it due to lack of time and uni.

for brakes parts are becoming a hassle if you can collect them all overhauling wont be an issue

But hell he's Expensive . because i once took qoutes from him and they were a bit too much i guess he asked 40k for complete denting allthough my car doesnt have too much rust . 30k for paintjob and 25K for interior . what do you think should he be actually taking for minor denting and a complete paintjob and interior? for how much did you get your car done . because i was planning on to do the paintjob and a bit of denting ( Perfecting the cars edges etc ) from him as he has pretty experience with that allthough major denting is being done right now in peshawar by Zahir ustaz ( who unfortunately has not satisfied me yet ) . thankyou for taking interest and time out Mr.Bravo . awaiting reply

I see you got good advice already esp from Lazeez and Bravo.

  Your car is not a 65 as you believe. Its a 66. The slotted wheels are original to the 66-67 Beetles.

  I would suggest (rather request) you do not do too many modifications with this car.

BTW, this may come as an unpleasant surprise, if you quoted the year model as 65 while ordering the Beam Adjustment kit from Airkewld, you must have the wrong part.

 In 1966 VW Beetles got a new front beam having ball joints. 1965 and earlier had linkpins and kingpins.

Ball joint and Link pin beam adjusters are different I think. Have never looked into this dept as I take little interest in this lowering aspect.

cant say anything about the price of denting since i haven't seen the car my self but now arshad charges around 40 for pan up body work.But arshad is a master doing the work
Khalid is fair in his rate for mechanical his rates are fixed and also justified as well.

for paint i would rather prefer getting it done from some place else.The guy who painted my car left ,Although he did a good job but after alot of hassle and if i am not wrong he left the job and personally i didnt like the work done by the new painter .Paint cost between 25 to 40 depending on the quality you want,i paid 40 k back then .
During paint make sure to get the antitrust treatment done and DONT GET IT PAINTED DURING MONSOON Rains.

for interior go to baho mahala guys name is also khalid not sure though he quoted me 18k for my friends bug 6 months back.

for lowering i would recommend this for front (i started the modification on a beam i bought from kabar,couldnt fit it back since i had my uni started and had to go abroad)

The guy is using monroe air shocks with a car tire pump in order to raise or drop the front end.
since you are planning to lower make sure you do all the calculations such as tire size.too big will rub too small will not look good

Yes . True . But I ordered parts for a 1966 as it's a 1966 . Slotted wheels dont come in Pre-65 .

for front you can use air bags but that would mean heavy modifications to the suspension.I would rather prefer you go with Monroe air shocks at front 786 if i am not wrong.They will cost you 70dollars a set from amazon but shipping and customs nearly doubles the price .

got it . means i still will have to cut the beam and weld the adjusters in . but monroe air shocks would give me easy adjustabality . like if i am planning to go offroad i could just flip the switch and Roll !
