On Mohicans Day out - I realized that the roll cage should be attached with the frame in any case, so the first thing i did upon coming back was that i left the vehicle with fabricator for snorkel installation as well as attachment of four main foundations of roll cage with main frame.

Here are installation and fabrication pics for your review:

Again on our recent offroad trip - it was decided that the last addition / modification in my BJ will be installation / fabrication of rock sliders.

The APC (armored personnel carrier) has got two very important upgrades that were needed. Nice solid work on the mounting of roll cage. The snorkel is simply indestructible!!! Masha Allah.

LOL @ APC - The roll cage is steel solid now:) you can lift the vehicle through roll cage comfortably

And yes the HORN snorkel is also terribly strong I am now more inclined to play dodging race with people moving on road other than hitting the sands offroad

There are two options for snorkel head the one D![k looking head comes with defenders and tractor and the other conventional Safari snake head.

See below fabrication of rock sliders. Stock foot rest have been also trimmed and brought down a little to fit in the new rock slider:

Please note that the sliders will not be welded with frame, rather bolted on.

Terrific craftsmanship in the fabrication of rock sliders, too!

Overall, this rig is turning out to be one of those, on whom the MOST attention to detail and workmanship has been lavished. Der aala!

I will certainly be taking a LOT of guidelines from this thread, for my own. Thanks for that.

Lovely work on the sliders. The size of the pipe and angles look just perfect. Bolt-on system is an extra effort compared to welds, and looks equally good in finish & workmanship.

Though not very clear in pictures, I hope there is a gap of at least 1cm between the slider pipe & body to accommodate the difference of vibration in body & chassis.

I have a similar concern to Tareen bhai's about the rock sliders, though. They seem a little TOO close to the body of the beast...in fact they seem to fit flush WITH the body. If that is the case, they MAY end up buckling the lower door sill (where they make contact) when the belly hits a rock, or when the body rolls, somewhat. If you've catered for that aspect, please disregard this concern, altogether.

Secondly, what diameter size pipe have you used for the fabrication of the snorkel? Whilst the union of the snorkel to the engine compartment and the pillar of the machine looks beautiful and sturdy, I again have reservations as to whether the pipe is big enough for the engine to gulp huge lungfuls of air into the air cleaner. Of course, this concern may be totally unfounded, if you've carried out the necessary T&A of this essential performance part.

I'm LOVIN' the progress made so far...keep it up, bro!

Thank you for your liking and appreciation sir - As far as your both points are concerned, yes these rock sliders are bit close to the body which is certainly not right but actually attached with frame of the rig while rest of the body is completely separate so I am letting them as they are.

regarding snorkel - the inner diameter of snorkel pipe is matched with the diameter of stock airfilter intake which is 2.75 inches so we have followed the same size for snorkel pipe intake.

Lets see how it performs in next trial

Thanks for the pics bro yes i also believe that the snorkel head needs attention, however safari snorkel is all together a different package and cannot be compared with this pipe molded one.

After its performance trial, i will decide about revisiting its fabrication.

Yeah i have seen this picture somewhere in thread. Its nice but still i believe that finishing of my snorkel is better than this one, please look bends and engine bay connection plate in my pictures. However; yes again, snorkel head should be improved lets see if the performance is ok then i might dont do it otherwise will definitely consider your point Inshallah.

After quest of last couple of months eventually I've got this very important tool in pristine condition. So the next step is to get its mount fabricated with locking option and install it on driver side
