NOS parts hunt has been going on all these days, far and wide and yielded some fruits too

NOS front leaf spring bushes

NOS distributor cap

NOS plugwires

NOS (but beat) radiator fan, 4 fins

NOS front coil springs (with these in stash, i can play with ride height at front on the old ones )

This radiator fan looks ok to me, its supposed to look like that - one blade gap looks bent, its to cancel out some noise and also helps in allowing clearance for your socket tool if you want to spin the crank pulley.

You cannot do a photo tacho meter test on it as its naturally imbalanced, The only other way I know would be to load it on a dynamic balancer - but the cost of that job would be prohibitive. This fan is run via the water pump pulley which is driven by V belt - it wont apply that much of brake to the pump when working.

OTOH - I would ditch this and keep it in storage and install a 2 speed electric fan to keep the engine cooler and you omit the fan noise too.

saner piece of advice about ditching the original fan on account of performance perspective. will do so but would keep the fan in the parts box in case i want to go back to bone stock some day

the plug wires you picked out are not useful, all old japanese cars had terrible wires, a good replacement today would be to make them from AC delco brand longer cables from chev V8 engines.

well will try these first and see if these serve any good. if these would, i would rather stick with these. if not, will try the suggested solution

finally the workshop manual & parts catalogue are on the way from a hobby friend from sri lanka alongwith other tiny bits including weatherstrips w/ clips, shifter boot etc.

and along come these tiny monsters, who is guessing what are these?

almost all the materials are sorted. ready to weld/fabricate over the weekend
will make necessary size adjustments to the original plan according to the mounting holes
my plan is to use bumper brackets mounting positions on the chassis to mount the car shell

here is the list of materials required to complete this fabrication

twelve feet of 2 1/2-inch square steel tube with 3/16" wall
fifty Two feet of 2-inch square 3/16" wall steel tube (must fit inside 2 1/2-inch tube)
two feet of 3-inch round steel tube with 3/16-inch wall (must fit inside 3 1/2-inch tube)
two feet of 3 1/2-inch round steel tube with 3/16-inch wall (must accommodate the 3-inch tube to slip inside)
eight, 1/2 inch X 1 1/2 inch (grade 5 to grade 8) bolts and nuts plus two big flat washers for trunk mount bracket
twelve, 3/8 inch (grade 5 to grade 8) bolts and nuts and flat washers
two scrap 2 inch square tube pieces 1 foot long for gusset supports under rotor tube
four heavy duty casters with 5 inch wheels (all swivel-type)

NOS GMB waterpump, its 0305 (616 / capella) part # but fits 1500s as well. Luce water pump part # starts with 0222
