I got an offer of 1.6m for integra via sms. I refused.
Another offer came up for 1.35m. I accepted the offer.
both parties were requested to come, see the car and then make the offer. No one showed up. Lol

I'd taken some fresh photographs of the rebuild, but somehow or the other, I ended up deleting them from my phone, too.

Anyways, the Camaro is going to be started first time around, after the weekend. A long time has gotten into getting the engine and transmission placement, shaft alignment, steering swap, gear lever positioning, radiator mounting, fuel and brakes lines, general ride height, and other miscellaneous mechanical stuff, just right. Now, though, we have a car that is pretty much ready to roar

We should be able to clip on the wiring, slap on the ECU, mount the air-flow, and get a pretty good idea of what this beast will eventually be capable of. Of course, I'm terribly excited about this. Let's see how things pan out, Insha Allah.

Absolutely right, brother. We have no plans of eating up the roads with it just yet. We'll start it first, and observe the goings-on with an OBD scanner. Once we're fairly certain that all is well, we'll take it out for gradual test drives, and sort out any possible kinks with suspension, shocks, ride, brakes, cooling, acceleration, gearshifts, and electronics. We're going to get into performance testing only much later.

We're lucky in the sense that the complete wiring looms / harnesses came with the engine, along with the ECU, etc. So we shouldn't really face any insurmountable problems. Allah khair karey...

And yeah...that signature is NOT just a witty quote. When you've spent almost a quarter of a century in matrimony, it HAS to become a way of life!

A big apology for all those who've been following this thread, and waiting for updates. There has been a bit of a pause in activity, because of some issues with electronics. We had to send the ECU abroad to be flashed, some junction boxes weren't working, and while the LS1 was firing up perfectly we weren't getting any real power. I should have some updates real soon...including pictures.

Once again, sorry for keeping everyone waiting!

Is it a Corvette motor or an f-body motor? I remember the Corvette motors and the last of the f-body motors had a drive-by-wire throttle that could be problematic in swaps.

Yep its the same motor, comes in C5 Corvettes and the last F-body 'Birds and Camaros.

I'd like to offer apologies to everyone who's been following this thread for so long, now.

Contrary to perception, the project hasn't lapsed into nothingness. It's just been delayed by a host of problems pertaining to electronics. At various points in time, the immobiliser, the fly-by-wire pedal, the ignition modules, the ECU software and other seemingly-insignificant little tidbits have been giving us trouble. As Jeep Junkie and Supraman mentioned up there. These have necessitated the parts being shipped in from abroad, which has added to the inordinate delays in progress.

All this while, we have been getting on with the body work, but nothing has been really worthy of posting a bunch of pictures, thus far. The missing parts HAVE been found, though...and hopefully, after next week, the build should really start to take off, all over again. Insha Allah.
