@devils_smile...an amazing machine u have there and one of the very few in pristine condition...hows the pickup with existing engine..it used to be decent when they were new...still good decision to change the engine to a more powerful and refined one as long as it fits on the original foundations

appreciate the kind words sir. obviously the swap will have alot more power then the current 3k engine this car came with. but havnt faced any problems with the current engine. the pick is exceptionally good in petrol (car isnt run on cng) and loves tailing out in corners. but the non-powered steering is ultra smooth and still gr8. with the trunk full of luggage along with 5 people, have climber to nathia, baragalli, muree, bhurban, monal.

my dad himself works on the cars engine along with the w201. his 2 old lovers

@devils_smile...are u sure it has 3K engine and not 4K..My dad bought corolla 1982 brand new which we had until 1995. It had 4K (1300cc) engine...also there r very few cars left in such original condition..hence I would urge u to retain its originality except for the engine which u may swap for a more powerful one if u r not satisfied with the current one..which engine have u decided to go for? This car came with a wide engine choices world-wide so u can select one of its original engines with larger displacement and better power. That way it will still hold its original charactaristics..

mazher bhai, i never said it has the 3k engine. It has the 4k engine with a 4-speed forward transmission. The 3k engine with 4-speed tranny is in the ke-30 we have.

The engine for this car will be a 4age-16v that is the best suited for this car.

@devils_smile...oh ok..sorry for the confusion..4AGE rated at 130hp will give awesome performance in a car that weighs under 900kgs..u can easily out perform most of the modern cars on the road...can this engine be mated to the original transmission and differential? BTW KE70s high performance GT version in Japan came with 2TG (twin cam) engine rated at 110hp and 5 speed tranny and was also super fast..

yup, had that in mind too but it will depend what i can find at the time. im just waiting for some things to settle and will move on to get the engine after that
