Brother Shoaib @mshoaib432722 mentioned one good point of replacing the diesel filter. Can you please share your expert opinion on the interval for changing the diesel filter in the vehicle. As when I checked the process of changing the diesel filter on youtube, I don't think that Toyota intended to replace this item on every 5k running as the way it is fixed in the car.

over the 4x4 hilux forums diesel fuel filter change is recommended at 10,000 + kms. However in PK due to water content into diesel reservoir at stations it can be changed at convenience.

Always top up diesel from stations dispensing fuel for trucks & buses. They sell less contaminated diesel fuel

I will have to observe the nearby pumps for trucks and buses. Normally Shell Askari IV is the most convenient station for me but I don't see buses or trucks filling from there.

Shell Askari is among the most crooked (notorious) fuel station of Karachi. You will hardly notice commercial vehicle getting fuel from it. For 2 wheelers their dispensers are segregated because that class know immediately if there is any game in qty or quality of fuel.

Water contamination in their fuel be it petrol / diesel is also very high.

Hascol ahead of TV station over Stadium road, & at old subzi mandi towards university, PSO at new m.a. jinnah road (at left after crossing jail flyover). are few i have tested. For diesel, petrol & hi-octane. their pouring value for money is 97% with very low contamination.

We have a Diesel Shezore truck in family so i know a bit about such outlets.

I follow a yearly diesel filter regimen in pakistan and drain the sediment trap when it trips, but then again, the vehicle usually covers 25000 kms in a year also.

5000 kms fuel filter change is madness, seems like people are filling mud.

Yaar its the cheapest thing in comparison with oil, air filter etc. So i do it every 5000 kms.

If you can manage, the PSO pump near Malir Cantt check post 6 is also good for diesel. They have separate 4 dispensers for diesel and many trucks and buses from m9 stop there for refill. I also get diesel from there for my car.

I prefer to get diesel from these 'high turnover' pumps as this would likely decrease the chances of moisture/dirt contamination from sitting too long in underground tanks.

PSO pump ( Madni Fuel station ) at T crossing connecting security printing press road & Hajj Terminal opposite Tower Water tank is another fuel pump, but it is bit off track from main commuting routes.
