Enjoyed a heavy breakfast, packed up and started moving towards our final destination.

It took almost 27 hours but with many stopovers for lunch, dinner, tea, namaz and of course photography.
On an average it took 24 hours, main cause is the pathetic N5 , its diversions and repairs which kills your speed and more over; as you say "Sonay pey Suhaga" ; the Suger cane crushing season.
Tractors trollies are all the way on roads of Sindh and South Punjab, to make your life miserable

On the contrary, we made it in 19 hours (with pitstops) on return journey.
We used N-55 till Kashmore and then had to move to N-5 again but it could save more time if you are travelling on N-55 throughout.

Quetta to Fort Munro distance is 415 km, thats why it takes 6 to 7 hours to reach

Karachi to Fort Munro distance is 1030 km, and it take 19 to 27 hours to reach

While driving in the night we didn't realize that moutains were so near

it keeps us motivated and increases the enthusiasm of the people coming from KHI....

When we turned on Sakhi Sarwer Road and left DG Khan behind, it was pitch dark and had no idea where we were moving.
There seemed no lights for miles which gave us the idea that we were in the middle of desert. Traffic was also very low.
Only had milestones on the side to tell us that we were moving in the right direction.
When milestones declared that Sakhi Sarwer is near, we had no idea where to stay ?
We saw a huge truck hotel, the only place around, we decided not to take further risk and stay there.
Asked there about rooms and he showed us the only room available for stay. There was only carpet in the room and he provided bister and old lehaf. It was the only facility available there and after a tiring journey it looked like a heaven.
We agreed to hit the sack there. Me and Farhan were there to see the room and Asim bhai resting on the back seat of the car.
He opened room for us and looked towards the car and asked us to bring the "Buzurgo" inside the room.

First he nodded to provide hot water but later told us that its "Fresh" water :o and we had to take bath with it if we want to.
Farhan was the first to experience, me and Asim bhai waited for the result.
When Farhan came back we decided not to take the risk and take bath in morning.

Had a wonderful dinner and gupshup and as there was nothing around to see, we were in our room at 10.
It was hardly 10:30 and we fell asleep within no time.

Next morning we took bath with the "Fresh" water and Bhhhhrrrrrrr......

We were right ! Last night we were travelling in the middle of the desert.

Locals call this DESERT as GARAM RAIT (Hot Sand) ............... Because if you walk on it, its hot even in winter. Reason is "It has Uranium in it, which is used in Nuclear Bomb"

Na the hotels were closed becuase of offseason....the town gave us the look of a ghost town with not a single soul in sight

By the way interesting info regarding the Uranium deposits....

It was Monday morning and we were three souls from different organizations on our sick leaves out of town....

we started moving in to the mountains and in about 15 mins we were at Sakhi Sarvar the town was interesting considering it was the last settlement before the Punjab Balochistan border.. since Fort Monroe is in a tribal region of Punjab......there were lots of petrol stations and other important highway outlets and oil depots......

suddenly after crossing the town we were encountered with most amazing views of the mountains......

we stopped so many times on the way to the top that I have lost count of the times that we stopped.....

in the mean time the weather kept on changing and the chilly winds of the mountains welcomed us with both arms......

traffic was thin and most of the time their was no one on the road except us.....before exploring the place we heard that the way to the top is very enjoying and that we must do that in the day time....now we knew why....

the road resembled Skardu Road.... sure the mountains were a couple of thousand meter shorter and we didnt had the mighty indus in the background but trust me the terrian was exactly the same.....
