any updates on A/T coming? a friend was advised not to buy Swift and wait till Jan 2012 to make purchase, suggestion came from a mutual friend whose family owns a Suzuki 3S dealership, so makes me wonder if there are any changes coming? price drop? (though that would be impossible to think of)

Its actually the people who makes a car hit or flop. Here people are more concerned about resale without seeing that a car is out of production in whole world but still in production here.

Swift is a very good car but people are hesitant on buying it over cultus as it is more advance and a typical mechanic which knows nothing about the EFI engine doesn't advice people to go for this car otherwise his business will be ruined.

These cars needs proper maintenance and can only be fixed through official dealer in case of any issue occur using the diagnostic tools they have from the company.

Most of the people usually don't care about the car and usually don't took their cars to dealership and prefer local mechanics here due to reduce price.

After introduction of one variant DX the sales of swift this year have increased 1.48 times in Jan-Oct period over same period last year(4936 units in 2011 against 3320 units in 2010). If PS introduces another low end variant and FF CNG variant its sales are gonna increase even more. In india swift has 3 variants and price difference b/w top most and lowest variant is around 1.37 Lac indian rupees(2.5 Lac PKR) which has made it such a huge success in india.

The auto variant is definetly awaited and expected this Januaray.

Since there is no auto trany small car in Pakistan, People buying cars for there wives prefer JDM cars or previusly bought the tin can, Coure, Swift is atleast more safer then the Coure.

Since Coures out of production, Suzuki Swift has a great opurtunity to jump in the auto transmission segment of the small car, Its definetly going to be a big hit.

the sampling is being done with Paksuzuki spending a penny, You see thoose JDM 06 Swifts once in a while these days. Thoose are auto transmission, Since they are more then 1000cc, i doubt they cost less then the DX model Swift.

I think you don't have any personal experience, just listened from someone else. It has good average, i have used it for 45000 Kms now and not faced even a single issue.Same engine used worldover so no issues at all. Regarding average, i get 12-14 in city and 14-17 on highway, never got anything below 12, so is this a bad average ?

wat i have relized from market suvey is that ppl are just selling their swifts 2010 2011 model. even pakwhelels is full of them.
now i dont have any great knowlegde of cars but y this trend is there.
duz it not mean car is flop in pak????
i am not concerned abut wrong trends in our car market. difinitly agar aik shaks 8.70 ke xli 5 saal chalany kay baad 10/11 may sale kar raha ho tu ofc sumthing is wrong with us ppl......

this is all crap wat dat person wrote abt swift... I m a satisfies user of swift Alhamdolillah n Local avg is around 13/L wid ac on n Highway avg is around 18/L wid ac on.... N these r my personal experiences nt someone's sunee sunayee
