2.OD corolla whining noise while driving

My toyota corolla 2.OD Indus. Make whining noise like (ruuuuu very minor noise) while driving in 5th gear on high speed. Sound only comes when I accelerate it goes away when i leave accelerator. What is the reason?
Engine is newly overhauled.
Gear oil changed recently.

You are probably low on gear oil or have the wrong oil or both.

If you have ran for long like this. The 5th gear unit may have damaged itself.

The whining noise in 5th gear under acceleration is maybe due to worn transmission bearings

Check gear oil
Change it if it looks burned
If noise remains there even agter fresh and correct level of oil, removed tear down gearbox and rebuilt it

Mechanic advised me to put thick gear oil it will reduce whining noise . And you will only face noise, its 100% fine if you drive with this noise.
