After this, we reached the broken bridge that was being repaired by locals. I sent my driver back to Hunza as there was no place to live here or no hotel in this area and bridge would take another couple of days to get repaired.
I took my luggage and moved on to the other side and reached the hotels in another jeep.
I was greeted by the whole team of hotel and they all gathered around me. Rates for porters were negotiated and porters were chosen by hotel owner. A guy who came with me from the broken bridge wanted to go on trek but owner called for another experienced porter as this person didn't have much experience on the trek.
So, Ismail, my main porter arrived from his home in 15 min or so while second porter Shaukat was already at the hotel. Ismail started the trek preparation and he started doing a verbal checklist and we added some stuff to the luggage and finally it was time to start the trek at 12 p.m.
