Imagine my surprise wen i was jus surfing the forum late at night and found my car posted here..... neways i definitely remember crossing 140km/h that nyt and at that speed with the stock tires and rims, the car would simply not turn, and as soon as i tapped the brakes, the car skid out of control, like it was on ice or sumthin..... no matter how much i tried to control it, it was useless....

so as far as im concerned toyota can take their improved road grip and abs brakes, and shove it!!

turning at 140km/hr ???

@sars... best selling yes but thats only cuz mostly ppl are concerned abt resale rather than safety! good road grip? u have got to be kidding me, this car has no road grip especially in the wet! u take a mild corner in the wet at 50 km/h and the tail slides out like anything! have experienced this twice in 1 nite!
braking? well the brakes are way better than the previous model! but the xli still skids when u brake a little harder than normal!

Bad driver can make any car slide or skid (at 140km/hr driver was trying to turn the car and then when failed he applied brakes) and still blaming toyota for results ..............:-#

Maybe he thought his car is equipped with SLR brake technology!!!

maybe i should have made myself clear earlier, by turning i meant changing lanes! if a car wont even change lanes at dat speed, then i think its better for the company to just speed lock it at 130....

i noticed that too, alot of die hard fans out there...... i got an estimate from a toyota dealer of abt 850000 with the labour charges, so i think this is a shut case, no way is the company gonna repair this one!! no ones ever made a profit from a total loss, but im hoping my loss wont be that much

btw i also own a GLi same colour same model. yar it turns very easily at 140+ km/h. i myself have crossed 140 on motorway and i could easily change lanes. the brakes are awsum no complaint abt brakes. if one starts doing things lyk this car is F1 den smethin terrible is obviously gonna happen

eps could be a issue but who tell him to turn the car at 140km/h its a bugatti or a ferrari or f1 racer.Even a civic can also overturn at 140km/h.its not a wise thing to turn at 140 .
