if anything, this is what the civic will look like in the near future.. the smaller more futuristic one is far from now, but the sizes of cars will reduce with the passage of time and the introduction of alternative means of fuel.. the silver coupe is the most likeliest for the near future..

its not much of a surprise... i think honda, like toyota are out of choices and out of design ideas.. they are takng their old cars and adding a few more curves or some flashy break lights.. i think both of them should start producing more cars.. with different shapes.. i love the toyota altis but dont like the fact that its exactly the same as the Xli or Gli .. i mean wats the point.. u buy a 20(approx) lakh rupee car and its the same as the 12(approx) lakh rupee car, until u look closely at the labels on the back.. i admire the new civic.. cuz it does look like a 19 lakh rupee car.. and love that its different than the City.. but they(toyota and honda) do need to change the shape.. :S

Nothing new. Honda already announced earlier this year it would stop selling gasoline models of the basic Civic and focus on hybrids. Even the new model when it launches will launch as a "hybrid-only" in Japan. Only the third/developing world will see non-hybrids. The Type-R is there because its not a base model.
