2012 Honda Civic = Lower Quality then current one

This 2012 CiviC seems to be a disaster to the current standings of Honda.

Honda need to reconsider... its plans for this product

After this 2012 CiVic ---- I say 8th Gen CiviC (Current one in PAK) will ROCK for years to come. So CiViC owners lucky you all

The report may be misleading. It states that quality of Honda Civic has gone down, that is not true at all. The quality of Latest Gen. Honda Civic is way better than the initial Civic of the late 1970s. But What has changed is the margin of quality improvement.

Honda Consumers had this extremely high expectation from Honda cars, specially in US and Europe, that now they what they are seeing is not matching those very high expectations from Honda. That does not mean Honda Civic is a bad car now, but simply means that others like Hyundai have stepped up their game alot higher, that now car makers like Hyundai's Elantra now have same impression as once Honda Civic used to have.

Civic is still a very good car, but needs to keep improving their quality, from being Better to be Best as they used to be in the past, with fewer market players.

The Elantra is best and i think it is the only car that offers front and back heated seats in this segment...

And they are complaining about the NON-PDM model....

The civic is now no longer the class leader in the rest of the world,... Too bad our mentality will never change and we'll keep buying the local version which costs more than an import (with more safety features). I applaud manufacturers like hyundai and KIA for REALLY improving their products.

new shape iz a new shape and it is obvious ke sth will be better than the previous 1 and may be sth will be worse than the previous 1 e.g
better can be aero dynamics or fuel consumption and bad point could be shape or drive
but I CARE ABOUT SHAPE NOT THE CONSUMPTION SO IN MY OPPINION 8 GEN IZZZ WAYYY BETTER THAN UPCOMMING CIVIC;)

on a more serious note, ive owned both 7th and 8th gen civics, the 8th gen was a great leap over the 7th gen in a lot of aspects, but the 9th gen is definitely not topping the looks of the 8th gen. And now it being of poor quality, is another aspect in which 8gen is leading
plus what have they changed to achieve greater fuel efficiency, i heard it has got the same R18A engine as the 8th gen, now if thats the case, all that is left on honda's cards is weight reduction, but to what extent could that also be done.
Anyway i like the 8gen better than this.

I still fail to understand HOW the (so-called) local civic costs so much. If it is "local" the exchange rate should have nothing to do with the price! Same applies to all local cars, specially the 2.0D and mehran. Almost all their parts are made in Pakistan.

its called Pakistani banking/economics. Mostly because the guys controlling the reigns are busy getting drunk and filling their pockets those folks can allow anything to happen.

They dont know anything better - they flunked school and got into power in Pak because they are somehow related to a zameendar, minister etc.

I have noticed that Quality of cars have gone down in order to drop the prices to increase the sales. Even new Corolla is cheap, Mazda/Nissan and Korean cars are little better in quality..

Civic/Corolla both have became outdated and boring looking cars.Optima,Cruze and Elantra are new champions in this segment.They are sporty,well packed and reflects more value for money
Elantra has 6Speed MT and AT
Its more economic
Better looking
Better interior
Less expensive
Yet pack more features

The only cars which are rulling the small size sedan segment are hundai elantra and ford focus and somewhat volkswagen jetta.
