I also took my 1.3 auto to monal and even to hunza valley through naran, babausar pass, with 5 ppl and trunk full. Never felt any issue.

Exactly my point! I went to Nathiagali in summer 2015 and saw plenty of GLi AT up there traveling with ease, some even overtook me on my otherwise 1.8L 134 hp car

I have seen sometimes civic drivers struggling on hills while mehrans flying.It depends on driver more than car on hill drives.For example father kept the car in higher gear around inclines so it would struggle to get to top where I would keep revs in engine power band by keeping gears low.That way power always available when incline comes.
In Auto cars same could be done by keeping car in L or 2 according to incline.

I have a truckload of products
Main thing is you need a wash & wax shampoo, a good sealant, a carnauba and a synthetic wax, trim protectant, tire gel, all purpose cleaner, interior cleaner and detailer, upholstery shampoo, glass cleaner, lots of microfibre towels and a microfibre wash mitt.

Damn, that is allot of products. Mine is black too but manual. The car looks stunning when clean. Fog lights with fake chrome should be installed if the new Corolla is black, I think. It makes up for the lesser amount of chrome in the lower front. So, I don't wash the car myself and it is washed using 'Surf' lol No swirls for now. The only problem is the appearance of nail marks on and around door handles. Any solution for that NUSTian?

Go for silver if you aren't sure about the common white. I would suggest you to choose lighter colors. Since the car is pretty big and washing it is hard work. After washing, waxing might as well be taking as your weekly exercise. Stick to light colors. You can be care free and will have peace of mind. Cars with lighter colors sell better too, since faults and imperfections are easily visible in darker colors.

Super white and Silver.

Rest is your choice, brother. If you have a driver then black is fine.

If ure serious, may GOD have mercy on you and the car both. Surf is a big NOOOO for washing cars. You will ruin it in less than half the time. The paint will wear off. Nail marks and minute scratches are only because of the same reason because Surf has acidic properties for car paint and makes it rough and unprotected. Atleast use a car shampoo and protect the surface with a wax. Anyway it's your choice if you want to ruin your own car bought from your own money.
But generally: Surf is a Sin for any slightly sensible car owner.

The left part in the picture is what happens to black if not treated properly unlike the right part. Maybe even paint's clear coat failure which is worse can take place with laundry detergents in longer run

Haha Yes, I am serious. Been doing it to my SWIFT since day 1. The paint is just fine; its been 5 years. But, the SWIFT is grey. This black Corolla though is pretty hard to maintain. I am planning to shift now to car shampoo. Let's say if I don't have it. Can I make it at home using a normal shampoo? Or that is stupid? lol Sorry, I don't know. Require your suggestions :). How much car shampoo do I put in how much water in a bucket?
