Those waiting for its comparison with my Prius will have to wait for a while, because I am driving the Prius since several months and have only driven this car 4-5 times till now, otherwise it stays garaged. So for a proper comparison, I have to drive it more to give a fair review otherwise it may be biased.
Till now, both cars have a very very good turning radius, almost equal. The central locking of the Corolla is however a little louder than that of Prius, when all doors lock of Prius the sound is very dense, whereas that of Corolla is shallow, maybe because of the plastic quality difference or door insulation.
As my Prius is a touring edition, it has slightly stiffer suspension, combined with 17" wheels, on rough roads the ride is a little rough but the case with Corolla is different, it is practically soundless on rough roads and handles quite well on them, so on rough roads Corolla takes the lead.
The dimensions of Prius are compact, even though interior is very spacious, while the Corolla has fatter doors and other body panels, so passing through tight spots requires a bit more vigilancy.
The braking of Corolla is slightly less grippy than that of Prius, that is Prius brakes respond instantly while for Corolla you have to put your foot a little further down.
Even though the cars have different engine displacements and technological difference is there in the engine as well as the transmission, still in the comparison of my 1.8 Prius the throttle response of Corolla feels good, very good in fact, not at all underpowered.
