Etios isn't a fail launch but not the runaway best seller that Toyota might have hoped for. Initial issues with quality and niggles caught Toyota but they have started addressing them and sales are steady. Also, India is the manufacturing base for the Etios twins that are sold in several countries and that is the main reason they're also being sold in the home market. There is a bigger picture to every car sold in India.India is the 6th largest car market in the world but more importantly it is becoming a manufacturing hub of cars, currently the world's largest for small cars and growing. For eg., Toyota, Ford and GM are closing their Australian car plants and reopening them in India and Indonesia to sell cars back to the Aussies. lol
