Why back seat floor is not even/straight. I noticed it has slight slope towards back.

This is due to the fuel tank located under the front seat area. This location of tank is a safety feature.

I have just purchased 1.2 cvt. I couldnt climb the first ramp of Emporium in D drive with total 4 passengers.

I then shifted to L and it was nearly okay.

What I wanted was to know if whether I can go to Murree or Kalam with a full load of 5 people plus luggage, will my car be able to climb.

this is my first experience with cvt and its going very bad. The pick in D drive is very poor.

my other car is Brv manual which has got very good pick

some help in this important matter would be appreciated

It will go. Saw many 1.2 CVT on babusar top with full passengers. Just have some momentum before climbs and you'll be golden. You may have to turn off AC on climbs.

Shift to S or L when climbing. Or alternatively you can just press the accelerator harder in D mode to use lower ratios. 1.2 CVT is very underpowered but still should be able to drive up ramps and such.

Today watched pakgear review on 1.2 manual city. The surprising thing is he found it less responsive and more underpowered than the 1.3 CVT Yaris he reviewed previously. That is shocking cause old 1.3 manual city definitely feels a lot more powerful than Yaris 1.3 CVT in my experience. There is usually a huge difference between CVT and manual, so much so my new 1.5 CVT city feels a bit more sluggish than my old 1.3 manual city. So the 1.2 engine overall is probably really underpowered for the body.

CVT is a bad transmission for steep hills. It can climb in L or S mode but it stuggles. My cousin went to babusar top in his Yaris 1.3 CVT, and he was complaining the same. Car was climbing like you are driving in 1st or 2nd gear, and he mentioned even Wagon R was climbing like it's a piece of cake.

It's all due to CVT. I am always afraid to climb steep hills with CVT because of all the horror stories that I hear from international consumers. Once the belt in the transmission slips due to overload, then it's gone.

Frankly Atlas cheaped out by offering 1200cc. 1200cc should only belong to lighter hatchbacks or should be turbo for Compact Sedans. Even 1200cc Manual in Compact Sedans is not a good idea, so 1200cc CVT is a blunder!!!
Your option is to only use L or S mode for steeper areas.

What should be the logical price of 1.3 gli model 2015 duplicate smart card. 95k geniune mileage, Islamabad number, bumper to bumper geniune car, neat and clean with minor scratches

No doubt 1.2 city is underpowered but when paired with CVT, it's bad combo.
Atlas is not an engine manufacturer. They didn't had any choice. Honda retired the 1.3 engine and the only choice they had is to use 1.2 to make Pakistani consumer happy because we all love 1.3 sedans not matter how good 1.5 offering is. 1.2 engine was designed for Honda Jazz and Amaze and it's actively manufactured around the globe

One the positive side, 1.2 has good fuel economy in city driving. On motorway 1.5 is more fuel efficient

Changed battery to Daewoo 65. Still I see on certain tasks lights become dim, fans become slow etc. Seems the generator is small size and not producing enough power.

Best screen panel replaced for city 1.2 regardless of money? I need responsive, high quality screen.

The car only needs the battery to start it. After starting everything shifts to the alternator.

If you want android screen, then go for the multiple 2gb ram options available in the market, they're decent for an android panel and around 20k. Some android panels with Android auto and carplay wireless are now available as well, but a bit more expensive at around 35k with 4gb ram. Don't go for the 1gb ram options ever, they're extremely slow.

The truly best screens are the pioneer android auto ones, but they're very expensive starting at 70k for new and around 45k for used.

As I don't like android screens, currently I'm finding the basic screen to be decent enough for my usage as it starts up fast, touch is responsive and the back camera and Bluetooth work well. I'll only upgrade if can find a used pioneer android auto one for a decent price, otherwise basic one is decent enough.

I got Daewoo 60 installed in my 1.5 and never saw such issues even though I have an audio system installed, didn't see those issues with the small atlas battery either. The alternator is probably too weak on the 1.2.

Comparison

Honda City 1200cc has 110Nm torque and that too at 4800rpm, that is why people have found City engine screaming. By contrast 1329cc Yaris has 123Nm at 4200rpm. Frankly even 1329cc Yaris is underpowered. No question about City being underpowered with the puny 1200cc with CVT.

Possible Aspire's alternator or better can be installed in 1.2?

Has anyone actually confirmed that 1.2 has smaller alternator compared to Aspire's?
Why should alternator be smaller in 1.2?
