Chalo jee.. I've been advocating the same for the past month. I'm sure it's adequately powered for all types of city drives

I said under powered compared to a YARIS 1.3.
Why does everyone here judge so quickly.

I thought it would be pretty common sense to understand what the topic of discussion was behind the comment. Which was the cars PRICING

yes, I agree that 1.2 city should be priced lower than yaris 1.3 accross the variants. However no one knows what features are going to be in 1.2 city compared to those in yaris 1.3

Please go through these 3 threads. As I said before, the L15A VTEC used in old 4th gen city steermatic uses the 12v/16v sohc vtec principle. The subsequent L15A7 and its minor revisions used in 5th and 6th gen cities do not use that method of vtec. The source you gave back then was regarding the workings of the older L15A not A7.

The 1.3 uses the old 12v/16v system while the 1.5 uses the usual power vtec switchover. Explains the big difference in power per liter between the 1.3 and 1.5. No sources regarding what system the 1.2 is using, but the power per liter aligns more with the 1.3, so I assume probably the 12v/16v system. We were both wrong regarding the 1.5's ivtec workings though.

I never tried justifying these prices; just shared my expectations.

As for Justified pricing?

Since when any Pakistani auto manufacturer has been asking a justified price?
For the product offered it has always been overpriced.

All the price hikes on almost quarterly basis were justified .. right? And has the overinflated prices ever stopped people from buying their products?

Honda, Toyota, Suzuki etc all are overpriced IMHO and sadly they will remain so due to lack of regulatory control on pricing mechanism.

Honda was selling 5th gen bare-bone 1.3 auto for 26.5 million ...

You seriously expect that they will sell a newer model with CVT transmission in the same price bracket even if its 1.2L? If they do so ... It will be a drastic strategic shift in their business model.

The reviews from India suggest otherwise; if I am not mistaken in one review they concluded that 7th gen has a slightly softer suspension and increased comfort level than 6th gen.

What is Honda Atlas hiding?

No bhai its for the 6th Gen too. If they give the same features (plus minus some) as Yaris, how will they keep the price low? I guess, by reducing quality.
