That's what I am saying. ECUs have these features built in. Honda Pakistan will never acknowledge these features but they are available in the ECU. The current gen Civic uses an American ECU. Most items are plug and play on the car, features like paddle shifters. If companies start admitting these on documentation, or if they show you that you can do it for cheap, it will damage their sales. Depends on the ECU this City will have, but let's assume it's the Thai ECU. If the thai model comes with VSC, this car will have VSC. TC is kind of always there in almost every ECU because it is important to prevent damage to gearboxes and other components of the car. You can feel power cutting when you try to break traction, even in the old City (automatic)

Why does this city have a very very outdated instrument cluster? Just plain stupid for a 3 million car

Sirf instrument cluster nai, poori car hi outdated hai.

I am referring to the sticker price back in 2017/2018.

Because back in 2017-18, 5th generation City was a relic. And yes I do agree even then it should have been priced below City Aspire. I mean XLi doesn't even have ABS.

I see why the 1.5 can be priced at 3mil, it clearly has more to show.

But how can they price the 1.2, lower in power variant, more than yaris gli. If they think they own the price superiority, they should have simply gone with the older 1.33l engine mate to a cvt. I would have happily paid upto 2.65mil with the same specs on it.
I mean, why the hell does the customer suffer on power, AND features, while getting no break in terms of price. Wow. Great strategy Atlas.
Thinking of putting all the benefits from the 1.2 in their pockets

imo, it should be present on the City. However, it all depends on the ECU. If the international versions didn't have it, then this local version will never get it because the ECU doesn't support VSC.

Sorry but no local city had traction control and there were international base variant ECU's with no tc that our city used. I can make that econobox skid even at 40

But if a feature is on the car, it should be in some manual. Technical, repair manuals are more detailed. It will be present in some documentation. This is why I have asked you to prove it.

So we come to the same point .. INDUS was not asked to do so by Government of Pakistn to make it standard on Yaris .. Or did they ???

It means Indus was proactive and kept it standard unlike City which is completely missing that feature from the lineup.

Hmm I understand your point. I think what they are going for is an econobox angle on the City, which would explain their decision to shift to the the 1.2L engine. People in Pakistan love a car with good mileage. If it sells, it sells?

And totally understand your frustration. The 1.3 was a pure joy to just throw into corners and expect the power to be there when it was needed. Kind of car you could redline without going too fast.

Neither Indus not Atlas develop the car themselves. They purchase ECUs from the international sellers, ie, Honda and Toyota. Since the international version of Yaris has VSC, local Yaris has VSC. Since City Thailand does not have VSC, local City does not have VSC.

Iss mein Honda aur Toyota ka koyi kamaal nahin hai. They just make use of what's available in the international market.

With that said, I completely agree with you regarding the importance of VSC. Mind you, most people still have cars without VSC, and VSC has a minor impact at best at low speeds.

Sorry but that 1.3 is not a "joy" by any sense. It can skid pretty wild on a redline that i'll admit but definitely not a "joy"

I'm willing to bet the 1.5 will have better economy than the 1.2. Call a spade a spade. It's a pure cost saving move by atlas and they will definitely pocket the savings themselves rather than passing it on to customers.

No. Both front and rear lights are facelift ones. It's just that the LED tail lamp only came with the higher trims in foreign markets.

Below this article, there are three picture galleries for each trim of city facelift. Only the V trim had the newer taillight while lower S, E twins get the halogen lamp one.

I'm sure atlas is saving LED head and tail lights for future facelift(s).

Yes they don't develop the part themselves and they import it and they intentionally disable or dont put these features to cut costs.

Indus has never been proactive ever since their existence. If they were proactive, xli would've never existed at least. The government had to force them to give immobilisers which they were least bothered to include before. Altis came with 1 airbag back in the day compared to 8th and 9th gen civic with 2 airbags.

Only reason that Yaris comes with those safety features is that all ECUs have that feature in already. It's of no thanks to indus.

Guys chill out. Atlas will give us 12 years to bash its product. Also Atlas will make use of 12 years for multiple fakelifts and sharkfuntinas.
