USA was never the prime segment for Yaris, they tried and pulled out. Care to give me figures of City sales in USA??
UK has its own version of Yaris and that is the Vitz Platform upgrade.

I have written above that GM6 is more elegant and graceful compared to the new GN1 City. I have driven both. Interior of the new city is excellent but the road prescence of the New city (GN1) is that of a squashed amalgamation of accord. To put in perspective it is what belta was to Camry.
I Don't love Yaris, I don't Own Yaris, Was about to buy one but after the price increase (the very first one) i deemed it absurd and abstained from the purchase.
For me practicality is important and i weigh the benefit of every rupee that i spend. It should be worth it. I will not buy a car that lacks basic safety features like Airbags in this day and age.
For entertainment purpose you can always rent out a car and have a day of fun with it. for the 360 sane days the car has to be reliable, functional, practical. Looks are important and Yaris is one of the worst looking sedans in the market. But even after that it manages to sell in numbers that is a testament to toyota brand itself.
For you crying out that the new City will clean sweep the sedan segment and will do some miracle for honda it is like dejavu on Defence forum where the Indians qoute their Premier "Agar Rafale hota too".
Let city come and price and features be revealed. Wait for Jan 2022 when the actual units will be avaialable in large numbers. I wish that Honda prices it competitively.
If you read above I have said if priced correctly i will advocate for City against Yaris.
