I was expecting the same.
Now seriously, with more details coming it looks like the basic 1.2 might only have an additional airbag over the current shape, it must not cross the price of current 1.3 auto (and also 1.3yaris): ex-factory
Because both those vehicle fall in the 1.5 tax category. Why should Honda be allowed to price their piece of basic steel above that, there's no reasonable justification

Pricing the car correctly is very important at this time, otherwise Yaris will dominate.

Second, like Yaris 1.3 Ativ, there should be a medium version with better features and value. But it is very important to put City at the correct price first, otherwise many buyers will go for Yaris. Also, if Aspire is close to the price of Altis 1.6, that'll be a disadvantage too.

Yaar itne arse main aik wheel cap ka design bhi change nahi karsate. Sirf iss liye ke yeh Pakistan ke kisi vendor se sasta mil jaya hoga.

Sochne wali baat ha ke inhun ne hooe kahan kahan se paise bachaye hoonge.

Definitely expect the 1.6 when the 12th generation launches. Since Toyota sells the 1.6 litre Corolla In places like the Philippines and Georgia.

With the launch of this old model car....Honda has signed its death warrant itself...

My 2 cents...car would be initially bought in high numbers by Investors and Honda Lovers...

Artificial shortage would be sustained for 4/5 months..

City sales would go drastically down after 5/6 months...

Honda Atlas would pack up from Pakistan in max 4/5 years due to stiff competition from Chinese .....

Toyota and Suzuki would sustain the Chinese pressure...but with very few cars to offer....Honda would packup

i would strongly advise people not to buy this car and let Atlas Honda feel the heat for offering us a old model....

Auto Policy should ban launch of a model which is older than 2 years in the international market..

Auto policy should have forced Atlas Honda not to launch a 2014 model in 2021 in Pakistan......

There's not much wrong offering the old model. As long as it is priced accordingly. Well below the Yaris 1.3 (at least 80k to 120k)
If Honda-Atlas thinks they can offer an old model with smaller engine, getting the tax benefit, only so they can bag absurd profits: I really hope our people reject their product and teach them a good lesson that gets them up and packing

I don't expect much good from honda.
Plus from the camouflage video it looks like the lights in base model are halogen and not led ones.
Also the rear bumper base looks like it doesn't have the black under lining that came in the international facelift.

Atlas probably saving up things to add on the coming 10 year facelift plan
