True, but that is offset by the fact that 1.2 City will attract less taxes as compared to 1.3 Yaris. It should be priced similarly, if not less.

How exactly? Please enlighten.
City has: a basic touch screen and steering audio buttons extra
Yaris has: TC, HSA, and a couple other small add. safety features
So that balances out. Everything else in the brochure I saw (yaris gli vs 1.2 city) was exactly the same.
While Yaris has a bigger displacement more powerful 1.33 engine with higher tax, while city has a lower power-lower taxed 1.2

I don't see any reason how and WHY should the 1.2 manual variant be above 2.4mil (considering that js what a yaris costs)

Those hubcaps look absolutely horrible. Remind me of some suzuki hubcaps. One of the worst I have ever seen. On the flipside the alloys look amazing. Pretty unfortunate for non aspire buyers like me. Anyone know if there are good looking hubcaps available in the market?

The most useful +1 in the base variant in my opinion is the 7 inch multimedia, probably camera ready (that is why there is optional camera available).

That basic meter also shows same information, its less on bling but not on features. Ativ X has color multi-info display, the one in City (same as BR-V) is basic.

Yaris has TC, HSA and VSC in all variants, more useful.

Oh, and delivery within 30 days.

But considering things like retractable mirrors, cruise control, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering and seat height adjustment I strongly believe Yaris facelift is less than 6 months away. These features are good. I think Yaris facelift will get everything except rear vents.

Adding the fact that it is old and outdated model, should be priced below Yaris.

1.2 does not have retractable mirrors.
Seriously, since when did DRLs become a feature? (it's like Atlas, counting shark fin-antenna as a feature)
Auto door lock and one touch winker - I wonder what additional costs it must have caused Atlas
Rear arm rest: okay, understandable.
Meter cluster: well, maybe.

But still how do you justify the tax break they're getting for staying under 1.3l category. I mean at least learn to ridicule bad pricing if the company deserves it.
Honestly, I still don't see, why the "1.2 variant" must be a single rupee above yaris GLi.
Baqi I'm sure mehnga huwa bhe tou loug tou lay he lain gey. (me included, will have to pay the remaining amount). But atleast I would keep on shouting how the company absolutely ripped me while offering an outdated model, without any significant features, at crazy price.

Adha qasoor tou waisay Changan ka bhe hay. Had they not placed their cheap Lumiere at an insane 2.5mil. Maybe the city would actually be priced lower. But in the current scenario, I see how Atlas would feel an insult pricing their "all new" "elevated" "intuitive" City equal to a cheap and newer Alsvin

Please don't defend dumping 6 year old outdated relic. Retractable mirrors big deal. There is HS, VSC and TC in competitors.

City base should be compared more like with Saga and Alsvin. 1.2 litre. And Saga has more features too.

If 1.2 varient is a penny above 24 then it will a big rip off. Its an absolute barebone , yaris gli 1.3 m/t no only has ha , tc and vsc but also has more hp and torque.

The only worth buying varient is aspire one and only if it is less than 28 lacs. So much cost cutting.

I'm loving the meltdown yaris fans are having. Some are even stuck in the denial stage like claiming base variant has nothing, even though the spec sheet has been posted here multiple times. Hopefully prices are competitive with yaris, those fanboys would lose their minds.
