I like this idea of converting aspire to simple 1.5 if there is no deduction considering 2020 1.5 was around 269k while if we add new shape + cruise + air bags 289k looks justified.

Does it? Yaris 1.5 Ativ X is just 9000 Rs more at 28.99. It has more features than the base 1.5 City and is better value for money.

Now it must have shifted to next year... also heard Indus is planning to discontinue 1.6 Altis.

Doesn't make sense. I see many new 1.6 whereas many new Grande and Civic oriel customers choosing to go for Sportage/Tuscon.

Yaris ko facelift ker lo and it look much better. 1.6 is now a much superior purchase. May be some blind fan still say city blah blah its segment B sedan a price of segment C. Kal ja ker dekhta hun if on display. Finishing is now my main focus. Its its like oriel rip 2%

The AT is very annoying to drive. The problem is the AT gearbox. Better to go with MT if you want an enjoyable car. Otherwise, and I cant believe I am saying this, the Aspire seems like a better value for money compared to 1.6 AT. Same bhp, same torque. Just a slightly smaller body. Of course your personal preference plays a big role here, but compared to 1.6 AT, the Aspire is a better, much cheaper deal. (The MFD on the 1.6 is just rlly good though)

What about comfort? We cannot ignore comfort and space. At is pretty decent in 1.6 not jerky and pretty responsive. Actually its nore responsive than brv 1.5 . City engine is same i think

Anybody knows if i can install cruise control in 1.6 Altis Auto? is it similar to Yaris procedure? i saw a video on YT but there was no indication in meter of cruise turned on

No u cannot. Ecu is different

No you cannot install cruise in Altis 1.6. I had own 2018 FL altis and checked with many experts.. it's ecu lacks the cruise function.

Not really. It is only responsive in the manual version. The auto just drives you to the realms of craziness.

As far as space is concerned, the video Pakwheels just posted make it seem like there is a lot more space for the back row passengers. And like I said, it's your personal preference. If it was me, I would sacrifice some space for the wide array of other features I am getting in an Aspire. The 1.6 does not have VSC, Cruise, Seat height adjuster, digital climate as well. And I think the 6th gen is lighter as well. U get 2 more cabin lights in a City and the boot is just very very big, like it always has been in a City.

Not if you consider the price of City Aspire.

Only issue with Altis 1.6 is the 4 speed auto. Rest its a much bigger and comfortable car. Your back will thank you years later.

Well, manual is annoying to drive in nowadays traffic especially after 5 pm where everyone seems to come to the streets and absolutely forget what a lane is or how to merge in one
