Although city is overpriced, people need to remember that masses were still buying overpriced yaris before tax cuts. Yaris fans are just making argument because their ego is hurt somewhere and calling city a "feature less" car just because it doesn't have hsa/VSc is so unfair. Even 1.2 city has some features that top of the line yaris doesn't have and moreover, top of the line city has better cabin space and better engine than top of the line underpowered yaris.

I am still not defending the price here but just saying that people here have been buying overpriced cars before so no surprise that the new city will sell as well. Now PS has got a good 2.1-2.7 million cushion for their new swift

Now that I think about it City has exactly the same price as Yaris
Yaris Ativ X = City 1.5 CVT

Now let's compare these 2.

Additional in City 1.5 CVT:
1. Cruise control,
2. Cup Holders
3. Arm rest
4. Tilt and Telescopic Steering
5. Driver seat adjustment
6. Retractable Mirrors

What's missing compared to Yaris at same price Ativ X CVT:
1. Without allow wheels
2. Without Climate Control
3. Without rear speakers
4. Without TC (not even in aspire)
5. Without VSC (not even in aspire)
6. Without Hill Assist (not even in aspire
7. Without Fog lights
8. Without Push Start
9. No rear AC vents just like Yaris (only in Aspire)

Yaris sales were not down bur Indus has increased production capacity so that people get early deliveries. This is excellent step to counter competition

As far I remember this post was dedicated for discussion regarding upcoming city but ego centric Yaris’ans have flooded this post to show disgust towards new city as they can not digest a good competition to Yaris just because they paid around 2.5 million for an ugly piece of s***. Stay strong guys, maybe the new facelift will make you people feel better

Anyhow please guide me through 1.2 and 1.5
Which variant is more efficient in terms of fuel, power and overall driving experience

Friends I guess honda cvt 1.5 is equal to yaris top of the line as both have same features almost and same price bracket 28.99 lacs whereas you will get cruise control etc
im not defending atlas but comparison should b apple with apple you dont need to buy aspire if want to extra features then you have to pay them

Every car have few pros and cons but anyone who is justifying City comfort/suspension or price in this digital age is simply either a Honda employee on PW or a city "fanymany".

In my opinion 1.5 CVT will have better fuel average and obviously more power 88hp vs 118hp.

How is 1.5 cvt equal to Yaris? No TC, VSC, HSA. No push start, digital climate , fog lamps , allow rims.

1.2 for low speed city traveling, 1.5 for medium to high speed fuel economy. Manual transmission will give best economy and performance

This is subjective. I like the city's meter cluster more than the one in yaris. It could be different choice for everyone

They won't do that just yet as they have just started milking their product. Expect a facelift in 3 years or so otherwise if they release it early they won't have anything up their sleeves to deal with Honda for the next ten years of its generation.
