I remember the old honda city 2011 I had was with 2 speakers and they performed pretty decent. Now we need to keep in account that they came with a kenwood pre, I know the one is aspire was lacking the depth which the non aspire had, as the one in aspire was some local vendor based on a chinese headunit.

New honda city with the "touch screen" is a chinese sourced display while the Yaris touch screen in ativ atleast is kenwood, I dnt know about the lower end version, pretty sure that it would be by the same vendor though.

Tweeters are optional in brochure for all variants. While they are there in 1.2 aswell that i saw at honda point... And there is no option fkr them to calculate price on website.

Don't see it happening. With the rising dollar, companies will take those benefits themselves. Plus there are saddening 175 dollar predictions for the end of this year.

All those cars have grills for tweeters even if they don't have one inside. The one you saw had sound coming from the inside and had a silverish look inside the grill? Also optional features can be in display cars though.

I am 100% sure they will increase prices if other manufacturers do so. At the end of the day they will keep the exact same price difference with Yaris, otherwise it will mean they accept that the car is overpriced.

Not necessarily. In my experience with Civic and Grande, and Aspire 1.5 and Ativ X, Honda's speakers seem to cover more frequencies. Better bass. The high frequencies are not as good as Toyota, yes. But overall, the volume is better, less distortion, better bass and the surround feels good as well.

Woofers, MID Range and Tweeters are all essential for optimal sound architechure regardless of the quality of sound

I agree with you here, but the quality of the setup matters a lot as well. For me, Toyota speakers are not good compared to Honda, but the head units are much better, with android 8 and 9, compared to Android 4 in the Civic, which is unacceptable.

? Surround Sound...
Surround Sound is a completely different thing technically. None of these vehicles come with 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound supporting systems. They are all simple Stereo Systems.

What I am saying is that technically if tweeters are missing... whatever you are hearing isn't the complete actual sound track as the system isn't equipped to play loud high pitched components of the waveform. Similarly, all these systems will miss out on very low frequency sounds as there aren't any woofers.

Honda may be using better quality broad spectrum mid range speakers as the HUDs are pretty pathetic, therefore a subjective feeling of better sound quality as compared to Toyota.

Subjective feeling that a certain sound system sounds better is purely subjective as all these Setups technically can't play all the components of a said track.

All oem speakers are so so and local as well. Anyone who needs quality has to upgrade.this is the least valuable thing in the whole car provided by our manufacturers
