Banks actually have a really good opportunity to get a huge amount of car leases and make buying cars outright as something abnormal if they start ordering a huge number of cars, but not take anything extra and allowing all the normal car installment stuff like 70 percent down payment. The 50k extra and the down payment stuff will detract a few legit buyers.

What do you think about bosch oil filters? They are being selled by verified bosch seller.

Bosch filters have a decent repute and the seller seems genuine as is on darazmall. The only problem I see there is a black nitrile anti drain back valve on those filters. Silicone ones are better and last longer. From what I've seen, the only brand for corolla offering silicone anti drain back valve oil filter and available online is Vic, which is available on gaariparts website and a legit daraz seller called UA techno precision. I'm not sure, but I think there are 2 brands of filters available at filter house which also have silicone valves, one was Nippon and the other was a Thai brand which also has a good repute, I forgot the brand name. You can easily figure out the valve material by looking at the filter holes, if the rubber is of orange color, then it means silicone, if black, then it means nitrile.

But corolla filters are placed vertically rather than horizontally like in the honda city, which makes the nitrile valve less of a drawback. Plus nitrile valves are known to last 10k Kms and 1 year, so not much of an issue.

Other good oil filters available in the market are denso and Wix ones on gaariparts, asakashi, Toyota Japanese and amsoil ones on PartsCentral.

In summary, yes you're safe to go with the Bosch.

I think they're about 1200rs at the dealer. They're decent enough filters, local Toyota only brings Thai filters, which are economy grade filters meant for cheap oil changes. UA is a trustable seller.

I've used those filters for 10k km oil changes without an issue. Fakes are rampant, so only buy from dealers or highly reputable sellers.

An unfortunate issue to note though with OEM filters is that even dealers and reputable sellers sometimes end up with fakes. I've even seen cases of American dealers and stores ending up with fakes due to supply chain issues. Fakes have become almost indistinguishable from originals from the outside, the differences are only visible when you cut open the filters. Plus local dealers are very scummy, PartsCentral owner told me how he knows some Honda dealers sell fake AC filters as originals.

Good thing about good branded non-oem filters is that due to low demand, they don't have many fakes floating around and not as many supply chain issues. So in my opinion buying those filters is less of a risk.

Most people just drive at slow speeds constantly after resetting to get numbers like these and post on social media like it actually means something in real life. In this case, I assume the person drove on the motorway at around 80kmh. The only number that matters on the motorway is the fuel economy you get at 120-140 at motorway, which no one ever posts cause it isn't a really pretty number.

just test drove my uncles 1.2 manual (with 3 pessengers inside), its good. The power is good and the power delivery is adequate too , the suspsions are finally back friendly . It is spacious , I am 5,9 and heavy too and the driving seat was not cramped for me at all.

I dont know about cvt but the manual 1.2 isnt underpowered despite its numbers.

But in parallel it's wrong at car assembles end to provide cars to there cooperate customers (like banks) on priority and individual customer keep on waiting long for their cars. At one side it's providing good opportunity to many people getting car earlier but on the otherside creating huge demand supply gap and room for ON or OWN.

I booked my car in 1st hr of the booking and by serial number I was the 6th person to book city in that specific showroom and 2nd person to book aspire at that time.. but I was given delivery date of Oct.

1.2 cvt isnt underpowered either when put up against its compettior. 14 sec 0-100 for a 1.2 cvt is a good number. Maybe yaris 1.3 cvt take 1 second lesser than that but does it matter? And 1.2 cvt is much much better than gli/xli auto

I think what's happening is that the banks are not getting cars on priority, they are booking them like investors and waiting for deliveries as usual. This should theoretically not affect the regular cash buyers, but will make it easier for people who were going for installments anyways. In general I believe this will reduce own demand to get near what banks are demanding. Installment buyers are a huge market. Also many own buyers were installment buyers, because in installments, own did not seem much, I really hope this reduces the customers for investors a lot.

I also booked 1.5 base cvt on the first day, but later in the day. Initially got october time. But now website shows February. Might be because the idiot salesman put in 1.2 cvt at first and then I had to get the variant changed after a couple months when I found out. But even after variant change the date was october, but website was not showing the date for about a month. After a month it started showing feb. The dealer claims that all cars are getting delayed a lot and taking no responsibility, now are saying to submit some document on company letterhead to show it as a corporate car and get it in nov/dec. Now there are those depressing price increase rumors floating around again, making me think that getting meezan bank lease might actually be the reasonable move now.

All these companies, even 3S dealerships have dedicated staff or interfaces for cooperate clients. I know a person who was only handling cooperate customers. Big clients definitely get big incentives.
Toyota Indus delay the booking of 1.6 Altis at their launch due to big order from Motorway police. same is the case with other cooperate and Government customers

I know, not many would be interested in the 1.2cvt but still Posting a picture of my car's recent fuel consumption figure, since the above shared is very misleading.
This is from the last 2 weeks driving and includes a 35km trip on ring road at 105kmph, otherwise purely driven in city with a 'relatively lighter' foot.

On the motorway at under 105kmph the average is highest (the other shared is probably a GT road trip, or motorway at 90-100 - since that is engines sweet spot).

Ps. For any future interested buyer, registration costs for a 1.2cvt variant from Punjab for a Filer is 62000Rs.

True. The 1.2 is pretty okay power, especially under 80kmph.
But definitely not worth the money, since a 1.5LS variant is merely 100k more and offers more power and a cruise. (also saw it has chrome handles and the famous shark fin as well) .

Compared to a Yaris 1.3, I still believe it can give a tough time to it in terms of performance. Probably even match it on stop-signal acceleration.
I did 14sec in D mode and did not take any unusual measures to launch it (like holding brake etc), yet the figure is pretty close to a 1.3 yaris

True. That post above seemed like the fuel consumption from a motorway trip with some hypermiling. 19kpl in city or even mixed driving is hybrid level fuel economy, no way a 1.2 city achieved that.
