Are therr any chances of Price Hike?
Rupee has depreciated way too much against USD
Previously the companies didnt wait a day before rupee depreciation
Now they are silent even after a depreciation of Approx 20 Rs against USD.
Whats going on?

And is refundable
Onlg thing is
It causes a dent in the pocket for time being
Otherwise if the buyer is filer
He can get it adjusted/refunded in the next tax return.

Government has threatened them that they'll standardise prices if they raise prices. They're trying hard to convince them and stopping bookings to force the government. Honda is being a bit more lenient cause they already have higher margins seemingly than the others.

Just 2 weeks ago a dealer was holding off selling their city inventory cause of heavy price increase rumor. Now they're back to selling the cities at reduced own. One thing is quite certain, cars above 1.5 will get price increase due to the likely fed increase, that's why civic own is up to 3 lakhs again.

Overall at current prices car demand seems to be down. Might not be a reasonably profitable move to increase prices this time around. Would be better to just focus on more localisation.

There's an interesting debate going on in this forum regards fine imposed if the car is not registered under the name of the person on invoice.
It's mentioned the fine being Rs 100,000
Can someone please explain how come people are selling these cars at Rs 50,000 above the invoice price if they will be posted out a fine of Rs 100,000 because of that sale.
Doesn't make sense.

Buyer will pay that amount. I don't think its wht as I heard it can't be claimed in tax returns.

Let's see if we can clear the confusion on this forum
If buyer has to pay that amount, it means buyer end up paying an extra Rs 100,000 on top of the 50,000 on money that he has paid the seller.
I wonder if anyone on this forum has bought a car paying on money on top of invoice and then registered the car under their name. I'm sure they can clear up this matter.

That 100,000 fine is applicable is car is sold within 3 months of it's invoicing. After 3 months there is not additional fine.
However if invoice is not in the buyers name, additional transfer fee plus 50,000 WHT ( in case of 1.5L) will be application on top of registration amount.
Now many people/investors are selling cars after getting it registered in their name, and gives favour to buyer to get car transfer after 3months to avoid fine. (That I'll ask someone if it's additional WHT or a fine).

I think this should be made common knowledge for everyone
If the person planning to buy the car knows that he will end up paying an extra 100,000 on top of all other expenses, it might stop him buying the car that way.
Obviously if there are less or no buyers this profiteer practice will fizzle out over time.

Like there are hundreds of new Honda City on sale at pakwheels, did as many cars get delivered to people who genuinely booked the car for their use.
I'm sure the Honda dealerships were in cohorts with this profiteer mafia.
We have no control on the sellers, but let's discourage the buyers from purchasing the car from them.

A few fellow members here mentioned an early November delivery
I called the dealership and the person that I spoke to said the same,
I got the bank draft for my balance payment of Rs 2,030,000 prepared yesterday, took it to dealership today. The team there said November delivery is not possible as it's booked for banks and corporate sector.
I will get the delivery in December as previously planned.

As regards a possible price hike and it's affect on me, they were not sure about.
They said it will depend on what the company decides at that time.
Sometimes they do not charge any additional payment from a customer who have already paid in full, other times they may demand to pay the price applicable at time of delivery.

They will get a tracker installed for Rs15000 and it will not affect the warranty.

The 1.5 L engine really gives a great fuel average if the RPM is controlled on long routes
Filled my tank from DHA II and went to sohawa via GT road. Thr car was showing 19.4 KM/L. I drove mostly on 90 KM/H with RPM around 1600-1900. Didn't calculate the mileage manually but the computer generated one is pretty accurate

Pic shows that max avg is 30 kmpl in information cluster where as its 40 kmpl in 5th gen, meaning thereby by no means it can give better avg than 5th generation???

What range has to do with actual average bro?

It's just an instantaneous reading, 6th gen is mated with CVT transmission. It's already giving much better average than 5th Gen. And Honda has significantly improved CVT lag in this earth dream transmission. Car is very responsive as well.
