I have experienced both, Grande has a much bigger engine which is equally more powerful but its bigger and bulkier body neutralizes the advantage over Aspire 1.5. Head to head comparing, both go 0 to 100 in a little less than 10s optimally...

Was traction control ON or Off in Grande?
With TC on 0-100 is 11 seconds with TC off it is 9.8sec. BIG DIFFERENCE

Guys I have made an interesting find, usually due to Govt regulations speedometers overstate the speed by Four, Six and even Eight km/hr depending on the vehicle class. Could also be a calibration problem. Anyways, I checked with Yaris Ativ X which showed 44km/hr (on Cruise control) but actual speed was 40km/hr (Google Earth) and with 2019 GLI the difference was 7-8km/hr. I have checked at higher speeds and the difference is still 4km/hr meaning it is just an added factor and not dependent on vehicle speed. Slightly bigger tires will actually make the Speedometer more accurate I request all to check/test Speedometer with Stock and upgraded tires and share here. So all the talk about bigger tires throwing off speedometer are applicable when the Speedometer is not overstating speed and bigger tires (3-5%) may actually make the speedometer more accurate. Yes I also understand that with bigger tires the change in speed is not by a constant km but a percentage and more speed difference at higher speeds so in terms of accuracy the speedometer will be inaccurate on that sense. I mean it will increase by only 1km/hr at 35km/hr and 3km/hr at 100km/hr, so it will not properly correct the 4km/hr speedometer difference. 3% bigger tire will correct the speedometer by 1km/hr at 35km/hr and 3km/hr at 100km/hr speed.

GPS speed is always more accurate than car speedometer.
GPS is always connected to many satellites at a time and doing commication constantly. If u are going on a flat straight road, normally a car speedometer may have a calibration difference Upto +5%.

It's always the case. GPS will show 4 to 5km/h less speed. That is also one of the reason that at motorways, police let you go without ticket UpTo 130km/h or little less. Normally I set my cruise at 129 128km/h and never got a ticket at this speed.

I feel the Speedometer is intentionally kept higher by manufacturers as per govt rules and regulations.

Must be torque converter as it has Earth Dream CVT

Some countries allow upto 10km/h. It's depends on government regulation. Not sure about paksitan if we do have similar regulations.
