Engine and transmission combination is a lot better. Grande is comparable to civic center 1.8.. city is a much cheaper product overall

Simple one liner, Corolla is an upgrade to City be it Xli, GLi, Altis 1.6 or Grande.

City unfortunately comes in Standard and Aspire form only so always seems feature rich.

When i purchased a city Corolla 1.6 AT was priced 65,000 more then City, Now the difference is around rs.150,000

3 Years later when i plan to sell my City, and i want to upgrade to Corolla in similar price i would be looking for atleast 4 or 5 year old Corolla for similar price range.

Anyone who has received discount cheque from honda can confirm how they have collected that cheque. As dealership told be that it will be delivered on my address mentioned on invoice. But I don’t live there anymore.

I think they usually mail it out so you can talk to someone at your old address ifthey'll hold the Cheque for you.

If that's a problem id say reach out to Honda corporate and not the dealership.

I meant why go for a corolla. What features make it better than the city in your opinion?

As i said its not feature rich, It is a better built car.

Better stability, better handling, much more rigid reliable, Honda city on the other hand feels softer and less rigid. A segment above Honda City.

Having a Corolla Grande along side Honda City aspire at home both purchased 1 week apart, sitting in or driving the Corolla feels much more premium.

I still feel driving a 1.6L Corolla would have been much more fun adding the extra 65,000 for a Corolla worthed it.

But on the other hand City being smaller is easier to maneuver and probably saves on the fuel too.

Please contact ur dealership to confirm ur discount cheque's delivery status from HACPL, Lahore. My cheque was returned undelivered and than dealership managed to bring it back at dealership address.

How about spare part prices?
Are City spare parts cheaper than Grande? Specially the parts used in regular maintenance like oil and air filers, spark plugs, CVT fluid price, etc

You can ask the dealership to deliver on different address when they call you asking to collect from them

Even if everything is same Corolla 1.8 takes in 4.1 liter of engine oil City takes 3.7.

Corolla being available since 2014 alot of local non oem parts are also available. Maintaining a Corolla in the long run has always been cheaper.

Even OEM parts are at par with other cars often cheaper probably because of being made in bigger quantities.

Most spare parts for both should be approximately the same cost. Only cost differences for usual parts required would be the extra oil needed for the grande making oil changes more expensive. Also for accidental parts front lights of corolla are approximately twice the price of city due to being full led while in city only the DRLs are led.

I feel 1.2 have battery or power supply from engine issues. For example when I move steering in idle the headlight gets a bit dim etc
What is problem and solution?

This is a problem with 1.5 too, Honda has put a very little battery. Get a battery with a larger capacity and the issue will be resolved.

Installed Nakamichi speakers today. 2 set of speakers for 30k. Stock speakers were like peeppa. Great sound now.
