brother instead of Nakamichi look for Pioneer active bass tube (with built-in amp, Pioneer TS-WX300TA is good),

Look for a branded used amp on olx, avoid king vox, a used presence or solid audio (original one) would cost you around 15 but audio quality is way better

I would suggest first get the components, if you feel you need more noise then add the sub and amp, dont spend 80k in one go...

with honda city a suggested combination would be components in the front, rear stock spakers or any good coaxial full range speaker, as for small sedans two components will produce way too much treable, place a bass tube in the boot. if active bass tube is expencive, get original s4 / 312 (pioneer) with 0.75 inch lasasni enclosure, one 4 channel amp, two channels for front components and two bridged for the woofer

the setup you shared is excessive, imagine one tweeter right behind your head and one right in-front, would be too lousy as in city the twitter is placed with door latch, two components would ruin the fun

so would it be fair to say to get the k 165 components in the front with no amp. and get an active sub.

do you recommend a under seat amp or a base tube in the boot.

keeping the stock honda speakers in the back doors. and if needed can get 4 channel amp with coaxials installed in the rear doors later down the line .

also what do you think about the pricing provided. does it seem reasonable or high.

go for one, either its underseat woofer or the bass tube, underseat woofer will add a little bass but not the woooof that a conventional woofer produces.

If i were doing the upgrade, i would first add the sub-woofer/basstube, i would prefer the branded woofer in lasani enclosure and 4 channel amp
next i would add the components since i would already have the amp's 2 channels spare with me to run the components.

do you think just upgrading the front to components without an amp will give a good upgrade in terms of bass and sound quality?

If you want a simple but light setup, you can use components in the front without amp and add a powered sub. Will produce better quality audio but won't add much oomph if you want that. You can ensure the components support low wattage, the box will mention something like 5w-60w RMS or a similar range.

A regular sub with amp and components won't be much more complicated or expensive than the above setup but will be a lot more of a powerful setup. As you had an audio system in your previous car, the light setup might not feel sufficient for you.

Rear speaker upgrade is very unnecessary. The stock speakers are good enough for rear doors, only go for rear speakers if you got a lot of extra cash. Even then it's better to buy higher end components, sub and amp than buying rear speakers.

Btw are you sure the hertz speakers you've quoted are original? Market mostly has copy hertz. JBL, infinity, polk, rainbow original components and speakers are available in the market at reasonable prices.

Also for subwoofer I forgot to mention pioneer 32s4. It's a decently priced sub and not short in the market so it's easy to find compared to pioneer 312.

the issue with the typical sub setup is the size. it honestly becomes a very big hassle while using the trunk. hence i wanted something discreet. was thinking under seat sub but i guess that could be too low. power wise.

i did enjoy my previous setup but i dont think i need to go to that level again. even my current setup feels decent to me. but just lacks in that base area.

the hertz did seem original by documentation inside and other box etc. jbls are easily recognizable that they are not original. any idea where i can find original pioneer etc stuff in karachi. the market is absolutely garbage in terms of info. one guy told me not to go for nakamichi as they face issues later down the line. other guy told me there is no pioneer genuine stuff in the market. point is sab apna bech rhay he.

i haven't been able to find rainbow anywhere here.

personally i would prefer to get pioneer.
i think im going to go with pioneer active base tube and if it still feels not enough then maybe upgrade the front door speakers to components

If you want extra space in the trunk you can go for a small sealed box. They are very small and make a lot more bass than you'd think. They're even smaller than most powered bass tubes and give better bass.

No idea at all about Karachi market, but I did hear that it's a better market than Lahore. For nakamichi stuff you will at least be sure that it's original. Nakamichi now is basically a typical Chinese brand pretending to be the old Japanese brand, but it's at least original stuff, the company nakamichi got sold to some Chinese brand making similar stuff as boss audio. It is a bit below pioneer in quality but not too bad.

Pioneer sony and Kenwood genuine stuff is short in the market due to import situation and higher demand of those brands.

Nakamichi will end up much cheaper as you would need an amp for pioneer passive bass tube.

Small sealed boxes are available in Lahore audio market, these are the usual chipboard desi prepared boxes but with some foam filling inside. Should be around 2k and if not available, you can ask some audio shop or woodwork shop to get it made. For sub for that box some good options are, pioneer 312, 32s4, Kenwood 3010 and mw3000, Sony gtr12. Nakamichi subs are also available and I heard their high end models are good.

Nakamichi is a hoax, no way near branded products. Na tu quality aur na he shelf life.

Pioneer Active Bass tube is some thing near 45-50k
Nakamichi is worth half as much

Get Pioneer Passive Woofer, even with a chinese amplifier it will rock

How much amount did u received....I booked my city aspire cvt with 12 lacks and delivered in may 2022...now i have shifted to new location and in old location is empty...Lets see what honda does.

Same was the case with me… but fortunately TCS guy knew me so he called and told this letter from honda. So if he calls you, you can ask him to deliver it to your neighbours address. otherwise after failed delivery attempts from TCS. Cheque will be sent to your dealership. You can get it from there. My aspire was delivered in apr 22 and cheque received in july. So I think you should’ve gotten cheque by now.

Is there an amp required for underseat subs? is there are socket in headunit to plug the sub? will an underseat require wire cutting?

right now im thinking of the following setup

pioneer passive bass tube ts-wx3000t with a 4 channel nakamichi amp and hertz audio componets k 165 in the front door. back doors to keep the honda default speaker. please provide your feedback
